I believe the vast majority of my background and credentials come from my service on the Local Council. As I mentioned in my campaign, I've run games, polls, and for the past few months have continued one of the most popular news sources around, SlowNews. All of this serves as an excellent background for the work involved as MoRA. I've also done some work in the Ministry, writing and advising a bit on a couple of events. However, the bulk of my background comes from nearly 8 months on the Local Council.

So, a couple of things here.  You mentioned SlowNews as perhaps one of the most important or traceable things you've produced (https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=900643). Is this the kind of journalism you will engage MoRA in?

What are some events\etc you've run as LC? Can you discuss particulars?  Since you ran for MoRA in part, based on a debate in the legislator lounge, where you declared that you were into participate RA - I'm really interested in the particular opportunities that were consistently available from Seraph's awesome term as RA (over the past months) including WAF and TLA and why you didn't provide any support or leadership in these.

Therefore, what could voters expect from you besides SlowNews?

Personally, I thought QuickNews was better because PS2 was funny Tounge

As I previously stated, I'd like to affect a style of journalism that tends towards the more analytical, in depth articles that were once produced. So, in answer to your question, no, SlowNews is not the main style of journalism I intend to engage the MoRA in.

As an LC member, I've run polls, Trivia games, et cetera. I've also helped organize several recurring gameside events, something which I mentioned in a previous question. Think it was yours, actually.

Take a look at Roavin's previous question.

Read my campaign and find out.

Didn't know we were degenerating into petty insults, but I guess I shouldn't have expected anything better  Skeptical

Sad

Highlighting an awesome idea that a TSPer had and how they made it something unique and cool shouldn't be taken as an insult but maybe as a source of inspiration. We all can do better and I've looked to PS2 for inspiration myself.

Speaking of petty and convoluted though, let's follow through the debate that led you to run. In that debate you implied or stated that MoRA controls all cultural events and that anyone running an event outside of running it under the jurisdiction of MoRA is undercutting the ministry. Given the hard line stance you took on this and my opposing stance - will you be trying to legislate festivals, events and other cultural products as required to be approved or run or managed by MoRA?

Will you be insulted if a minister outside of RA runs an event and attack them for it? What is a political party chooses to host an event?

Sure, except that's not at all how you phrased that. Certainly came across as an attempt to demean work I've done, rather than a friendly critique...which if you'd really meant it as that, you would've said so earlier, rther than oin a campaigmn where you can use it to score political points.

I won't be trying to legislate festivals, force MoRA control over all cultural events, or mandate approval. If you'd actually listened to a single one of points  you'd know I'm against that.

The core of that debate was undercutting the Ministry, and that was done, specifically by you, because of how you kept the Ministry out of the loop while running other events. I think MoMA and MoFA running cultural events is fantastic, but not when it is to the detriment of Regional Affairs.

To repeat myself one more time for you, I am all for anyone and everyone creating and running events. However, the MoRA absolutely needs to be kept in the loop, otherwise its predominant focus, cultural events, is completely undercut.
