The Same But Different

Thanks, Roavin, so much for your kind words. Blush

I'm excited about the possibility of working further with everyone, even in the *unlikely* event I don't get delegate.

Two questions (that I’m asking everyone so yay):

What makes TSP unique?

What will you do if you are not elected Delegate?
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

Hi omega,

Two great questions.

What makes South Pacific unique?

The people. We're like a lovely bag of mixed nuts.... tasty and filling (I hope you are not allergic).

We have so many incredible people here, and we all have great strengths and differences. It's the people that make the TSP the great place it is. The RMB, discord and the forums all have their own unique qualities.

I see so many talented people, awesome singers, writers, coders, artists, you name it and we mainly carry ourselves with humour and caring which is so positive and supportive.

Sure, like any family, we have our disagreements but beneath any short term frustration is caring, empathy and compassion.

What would I do if I wasn't elected delegate?

I'd happily cheer on the elected delegate and support the cabinet. I'd continue to have fun and be involved.

I hope this answers your questions. Thanks again.

Recently there was a delegates debate on discord. I've uploaded my answers here for ease of reference. I've made minor corrections to spelling and grammar and layout

Question one: How do you propose we get more WA involvement.

There are a number of ways we can do this. I envisage a three pronged attack including

1. a promotion campaign to get more nations to join,
2. more active discussion on the RMB and discord in an attempt to drum up interest, and
3. looking to promote pur own proposals.

Whilst I know Yuno has proposed a ministry, I'm not sure this is necessarily required but I like the general thrust of it.

Question- “From your campaign, what Is the most important project you want to work on?”

From my campaign, the most important project I would want to work to is trying to retain and grown involvement from RMB to government side. To get people inteteresed in the government side and bring in more new talent.

What do you think the role of the delegate is in cooperation with gameside and forumside and particularly the cabinet? What would you be doing for example?

I think the delegate should work as a conduit with the MORA, cabinet and the LC. If I were delegate I would naturally look to support events through promotion of events etc., but also look to MORA to be the lead.

A follow up question for our candidates. What role should the delegate take in regards to working with the LC?

I believe good working relationship with the LC is vitally important. Having a good relationship with the LC allows for security and promotion of TSP.

The RMB is a key entry point for us and working together we can promote the culture of TSP to newbies.

Next question! How do the candidates feel about the Biscuit Republic of Warzone Australia?

Naturally, as an Aussie, biscuits are important to me. Tim Tams, iced vovo, Monte Carlo... mmmm yum!

Next question relevant to a previous question: what sort of RMB activity do you deem sufficient?

In relation to the sufficient activity on RMB, I think a regular (daily at least), active (posting and interacting with our wonderful RMBers *waves*) and consistency is sufficient.

I wouldn't think it would be sufficient to not be on there for say a month (as an example).

Next question, what would you say are your three biggest weaknesses

Biscuits...

and in relation to this role a lack of TSP government experience, but my IRL experience (i think) means I have the ability to perform well in the role.

And finally my bureaucratic tendencies.

Ok guys here's a question: What is one thing you have admired about the other candidates?

There's so much. The fact that we've all put our hands up to take part says a lot about our personalities and our passion.

If I can single one person out it's rebel who, may not recall, but was surprisingly lovely to a newbie a while back. grins, points at self

Next question. What is one thing you’ll do different then previous delegates?

Very little from the previous delegate. As I said in my campaign, I think Erinor/Seraph has done a very good job. I want to generally emulate that role of calm, compassionate and steady.

The question: what is your favorite aspect of TSP

The obvious answer is the people. My campaign has been all about the incredible talented people on TSP.

I love the RMB and the mixed bag we are. I love seeing the interesting and varied interests we have.

Personally I love the forum legislation discussion.

Final question. What do you feel is the biggest issue in TSP

The ability to make sure we growing our own talents. I tend to agree with islands of unity to some extent that some fresh faces are needed and we need to coordinate better across game, forum and discord.

I've made my feelings clear everywhere else, so I figure I ought to post it here, too.

Beepee may only have been in the region six months or so, but he has demonstrated all the hallmarks of some ideally suited to the delegacy. He is friendly and welcoming, caring and generous, fun, but also mature, with a passion for the region and an eagerness to serve (just look at his contributions to the Assembly and the High Court since he became a legislator).

I know that many will be reluctant to vote for him in first place because they don't know him well, or because they are concerned about a relative newcomer in such a trusted position. I get that, but I also genuinely believe he is the right candidate and that he would prove a safe pair of hands for the region, an active and welcoming presence on the gameside and a caring and considerate authority figure in all areas - someone people can turn to for help in whatever capacity.

I've placed my vote as I've placed my trust.

I love that new blood(new gen) such as you are running for delegate, so i have some questions to get to know more about you:

What have you done in TSP during the six months you were here?

I was on hiatus for at least 6 months, so i missed out on it, and you are really a new face, I'd imagine older players are inclined to support you based on incumbent Seraph's recommedation alone but some context would be helpful ^^

You don't need to list everything, just some bullet points

Hi Yuno,

Thanks for your question and welcome back!

Over the past 6 months, I have been pretty active on all the "side's" of TSP.

I have proposed new legislation, taken an interest in court matters, joined Mora. I have been most active on RMB. I am an active cheerleader for the talent and people of TSP.

I was surprised and delighted that seraph/Erinor placed me first on his ballot. That could be cause he's amazing and has excellent taste! But also i hope it's because he sees that I can bring something to the role.

I hope you are enjoying your time back here and look forward to getting to know you better.
