[PASSED] Proposed change to the Elections Act |

Since we don't let a candidate also be an EC in their own election, the sitting delegate shouldn't have the legal power to either set up the poll or hand pick who does. Since we can't physically take that power away from the delegate, we need to not make it a legal option. Sure. And what I'm saying, then, is that we have legislate the giving of poll powers to someone (ideally an EC).

So basically, we take Rebs' draft, and add an amendment to the RO act giving one or more election commissioner Poll and Communication powers. That works for Delegate and LC elections, then.
... so, something like:
Elections Act, Article 3 Wrote:(3) After receiving the top two candidates in the forum election, the sitting Delegate an Election Commissioner will create a week-long regional poll accessible to Native World Assembly members, instructing them to vote for their preferred candidate. Regional Officers Act, Article 2 Wrote:(7) During elections, at least one member of the Election Commission will be granted the Polls and Communication powers.
Works for me.
