Prarie for MoRA!

The RA Minister and Prime Minister should not only cooperate well because they're both in the Cabinet (Well, one is the boss of the Cabinet and one is a Cabinet member Tounge), but they should cooperate well in order to maintain stability of the Ministry and to be able to communicate for things such as events, journalism, and integration.

It speaks to a core change of who/what an organization is, what they stand for. What's your goal with making these changes?

Also, could you define making the ministry more efficient? What sort of metrics will you use to judge your success of this goal?

My final question is particularly important to me. You say that a good MoRA would do wonders for newcomer involvement in TSP. What exactly do you want to do to help players like me get a handle on the craziness of joining the region? I'll be honest. It can be really overwhelming. What sorts of things do you have planned that will help with getting players like me engaged?

Thanks for fielding questions! I look forward to hearing more about what you plan to do!  Smile

1. I'm sorry, maybe I should have rephrased it better. Sure, the Minsitry will change with a new Minister, but who the Ministry is will not change. I will bring in new graphics such as logos, stmbols, and headers, but the identity of the Ministry won't change as far as the basic ideals
2. Essentially, I want the Ministry to pump out more events/Southern Journals more often. The Southern Journal should become monthly at least, and events should happen more often, maybe once every two months or so.
3. There's a couple aspects:
  • Market more on the RMB
  • Have easily accesible links to the MoRA server in the main TSP discord
  • Create a new 'Introduction to the MoRA' dispath that can be pinned/linked on TSP's WFE

These should all help newcomers get involved in the Ministry without forcing it upon them.

The Advisory Council is made up of members who have been on the staff for at least 9 months, and is experienced all throughout the region and NS

But what's actually different about them? You still describe them as doing the same thing, the only difference is a rather arbitrary descriptor about experience.

And why are you using experience in other parts of TSP as a factor for candidates? This is the MoRA advisory council, all it should be doing is RA stuff and that's the area its members should be skilled in.

1. Advisory Council members spearhead and lead projects, while Senior Ministry Members can take a larger role in helping out, sort of like a right-hand person to myself or whichever Advisory Council member(s) is leading the certain project/event

2. Because leadership experience not only in the MoRA but elsewhere is key to a leadership position. Let's say you were applying for a job. Not only did you have good amounts of experience in that department, but you had leaderhsip experience in other related departments as well. The employer will probably find that very important.

Good luck NP!  Blush I don't have that many questions since you answered them all, but I still have one: what do you have in mind for the design rebrand?

What RA ministry projects do you approve of or did you help build up from the last year?  What are some projects that did well?  What are some that could have been better?

I did find TGs where we conversed (although I don't have which one you were responding to, prolly an events one) about RA or in one case RP. What have you done for TSP since 252 days ago Tounge

Some of the members you want to add to the council\senior members are frankly not good at RA in any capacity, or have been particularly dismal or promoted players like the ragequitting former Minister of Regional Affairs (promoting friends rather than the capable) so why would you be adding them to the senior membership\alternative council? What specific RA projects have they led that inspire you? If you can't mention one then what does that perhaps tell you?

I do think you should highlight the COPA project and also your RMB work and even just looking at the COPA project, it was a great idea.  I think if you're RA we might see more actual gameside\forumside collaboration which is a plus.

Finally, who is doing the graphics rebuild for you? As in are you doing it yourself or are you working with a particular artist or? (Interested because this is an exciting part of RA for me Tounge)

I did hope you would have competition because a competitive race usually inspires people to do better but alas that's the way it's looking.

Also what is one strength of your opponent (totes missing Omega who usually does these <3)?

I am secretly piggybacking on Sakh's question here
What are else you planning for the design rebrand? Anything special?

Also, is there anything new you'd like to do with the Copa?

1. I organized the Copa and am leading organizing an event right now!
I think that the Harry Potter and R/D festivals were great, though the HP one, like a lot of festivals.
I think that the LoTR festival was great, but it was kinda confusing for people who din't know a ton about LoTR (like me), especially with all the pings.

2. I have become a prominent gameside vioice and I have helped organize and lead RP events, and have become a contributing voice in the #legislators-lounge and also joined the SPSF as a trainee. I have fought for TSP in NSGP debates as well.

3. Well, I don't want to announce it publicly just yet, but I have a couple artists on my shortlist ?

4. I think Islands is a great up-and-coming voice in TSP, a lot like myself, who although I sometimes disagree with, could make a fabulous minister in the future.

Well, this time, and hopefully in all future editions, we will have someone else host the Copa ICly. I hope in the future someone who is active and NS Sports and has the necessary software can host it full on.

Thank you so much!
It's an honor coming from you Blush

EDIT: Oh my gosh, I missed one of Escade's questions!
  • Seraph is a former MoRA and did a fabulous job, so I think that says enough Tounge
  • Somy is probably the de-facto president of the #artists-atelier channel, and has done a great job helping organize the R/D Games and Copa events, not to mention that he has single handily run the South Pacific Evening Classical event, one of my faves.
  • Roavin has helped organize SO MANY events and has been a great contributing voice for the Southern Journal since it started. He's also a fromer Minister.

If during my term someone on the council doesn't live up to expectations I will remove them from the Council.

You have an actual campaign with actual substance! You're new, but it's not your sole reason why you're pleading for yourself, you seem willing to learn, and you've actually put work in instead of just vying for whatever position that happens to be available to you.

My vote is yours. I wish you the best of luck for the election!
