Given the definition of bribery given includes 'receiving', I don't think we need the last sentence of (8). Otherwise, I like the changes.

Just generally, it might be worth looking at the discussion when we initially passed the Bribery provision.
Regarding Naka's changes: the use of the word "patronage" rather than "support" was deliberate, because "support" means it could prohibit something like political parties trading endorsements. Isn't the last line in 8)the same as Corruption? As such, is it necessary?
I request my version not to be brought to vote. The addition of the last sentence in (8) is unnecessary - my reading skills failed me temporarily - so I'll put up a new draft at some point soon. Or someone else can.
