[PASSED] Repeal of the Treaty of Capricorn
#11

With that said, I would like some clarification about what exactly happened with Osiris in 2016 — I don't remember what I was doing back then but it clearly it wasn't GP. What did Feux/Adytus do and how did it pit TSP and Osiris against each other?

Yeah. I agree.
We can't simply invade Lazarus for example.
The best way to handle that would be to make sure we work with competing factions in the government, or outright encourage some of our own citizens to get duel citizenship in regions that could be a threat, like TSP for example.
I think we were talking about a hostile TSP some time ago in the gov chat, but I don't think anything serious came of it.
Haha I want to win foreign affairs Griffin

Griffin is then Pharaoh of Osiris Neo Kervoskia.

Also how the hell am I still masked lmao, if I'd held off for 4 more days that would make an entire year since my last post.

I motion to waive the debate time, and sever ties with our embassy with The Pacific.

Ugh, I dislike how I always get lumped in with defenders when I was just as active in TBH as I was in TGW. But nobody ever compliments me as a raider Sad

Edit: A note on the motions to waive the debate period -

There are two laws relating to this motion:

Legislative Procedure Act Wrote:(7) The Chair may waive the mandatory debate period remaining on a particular piece of legislation should a legislator motion for them to do so, provided that there has been no objection within 24 hours of the motion being made and seconded.

Treaties Act Act Wrote:(3) Should the Cabinet wish to dissolve a treaty for reasons other than the violation of its terms, they must notify the Assembly. The Assembly will debate for at least five days, and then vote on its repeal. Should a vote on its repeal pass with majority support, the treaty will be dissolved officially, and the signatory notified promptly.

The earliest this repeal could theoretically be brought to a vote is tomorrow.

Notwithstanding, I am hesitant to grant a waiver because I believe treaties are not your typical pieces of legislation. We do not enter into treaties lightly and as such, we should not exit them with any haste.

We do let normally registered individuals post in public assembly threads. You can't vote or see the Private Halls, for that you'd need to be a Legislator again.

Amerion, your honor, it's best for our regional security that you pull us out of the Treaty of Capricorn. There are many revelations about NPO that we don't want to be part of.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me...

I also call for the waving of the 5-day debate time.

Given the feedback received, I am granting a waiver for the debate period. Legislators may motion for a vote.
