Day 20 - Favourite Christmas Songs
#1

Sorry for the delay, there was a bit of confusion around the posting of this thread. Anyway, let's get onto the topic!

Christmas songs are beloved by all, particularly those who have to listen to them all day, every day throughout December! What I'd like to know is, what's your favourite? By which I mean second favourite of course, since the whole World is in agreement that Fairytale of New York is the best Christmas song.

My second favourite is probably A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris de Burgh, with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's version of Carol of the Bells up there as well.

On a related note, has anyone survived Whamageddon? Have you managed to make it through December without hearing Last Christmas at all? I lasted 13 days, which is probably above average...
Did some LC, MoRA, CRS stuff in the past. Do a lot of World Census stuff now.

I don't think I've heard Last Christmas, this year, so far, but then my charity shop has its own royalty free assortment of execrable Christmas songs. Don't Google 'Christmas in CaliVada' by Talking to Sophie. Just don't!

Anyway, I feel this is really two questions merged into one.

My favourite Christmas carol is 'God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen' followed by 'O, Holy Night' and 'Hark the Herald'.

My favourite Christmas song is probably 'Just for Now' by Imogen Heap, followed by 'Town Meeting' from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'Walking in a Winter Wonderland'.

My overall favourite... probably the carol.

Hmmmm.... so many excellent Christmas songs, to choose but one (or two is too difficult).

For traditional music.... Angels we have heard on high... https://youtu.be/9djtDP3dmUA and Carol of the bells....

For modern pop, island christmas is kinda corny but I like it...

Also I've not heard last Christmas yet this year!

I think the best Christmas song has got to be A Marshmallow World by Dean Martin.
