That's completely different in the way that your RMB etiquette is not something actually voted on, but also in the way that the LC doesn't even always follow it, so why would the people have to?

There is no legal requirement for it to be voted upon.

Well,  it was ... it passed after a vote within the Local Council.  Then posted, pinned to the WFE and announced publicly, with links provided in the RMB and in warnings.

The Legally Constituted Status of the new RMB guidelines is on solid ground.

I think he meant it wasn't voted on my the populace, which isn't required definitely

also vola, you said you didn't want to add the unilateral ban on double posting in the first place but had your hands tied by being outvoted by the other two lcs but now CS said that he agreed that double posting shouldn't be banned and instead only spam should be banned so that means you guys have a 2/3 majority so you should get rid of the ban, it will at least give something for rmbers to hold on to so they can quiet down a bit

Here's a suggestion that isn't about consecutive posts, with the suggested addition in green.
RMB Rules and Etiquette Wrote:Excessive swearing, harmful messages, sexual references, links to inappropriate and/or illegal content, and other such things will be suppressed on sight, and the moderators can and will be called to get involved in serious cases.
how am i even still a legislator at this point...?

that's a good idea.  Such materials would already be covered under NS terms of service and policies, but it is always a good idea to make it clear.

Accually now that the initial hoopla around double posts has died down, it has accually grown on me.
