I thought I might give y'all a brief update about what has happened to me while I have been mostly gone since April of last year.
  • I got to serve as the president of my band program for my senior year.
  • I have served as Student Body Vice President at my HS.
  • I was a debate captain and in the process became a state finalist in congressional debate
  • I got to attend Boy's State and serve as Deputy Speaker of the House and will be a counselor at Boy's State Texas in a week.
  • I have earned my Eagle Scout Award.
  • I got to spend a week working in the office fo the Speaker of the House for the state of Texas.
  • In the fall, I will go to LSU in Baton Rouge to study International Politics and Law and Econometrics.
  • Tomorrow (Friday) I will graduate High School.
  • Last but not least, I will have a job this summer working for a Texas Legislator.
A lot has happened but I am very excited to be back in this community and be able to contribute with all the new skills I have gained in the last year.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.
