Statement from the Cabinet on The New Inquisition

Responding to the statement itself within the Government subforum is not the place to express my objection to the government and it's statement? :-/

In my opinion, this government has not been working for the good of the region. So that is precisely why I am speaking up.

The very fact that you keep posting here, even though I will never agree with what you are saying, is enough proof that you ARE allowed to express your opinions.

I'd very much like to see you judge this administration on more than just a single event. If my government is as bad as you say, where have you been all of these months? I like to judge Cabinets by their overall results, not just on single events. Let's not act like the loss of the TNI alliance is the end of this region. We existed before the treaty was signed, and we will thrive despite the loss of their alliance.

It's loss should never have happened. But your government - either through intent or incompetence - made it so.

HEM -- I'd like to see the logs you are talking about. (Via posting or PM would be fine.)

As the Cabinet-Assembly liaison during this previous term, if this was the case, I certainly have not heard about it.

I believe HEM's talking about the Skype conversation between Geo and OnderKelkia, which is available in the private Cabinet forums. Although it was (and still is) classified, TNI's leader believes it's his sovereign right to post any logs without asking, so that conversation is now available on the NS Gameplay forums.

Cerebella did indeed post the logs, but they're as much as TNI's logs as TSP's logs - TSP has no right to regulate how TNI chooses to distribute logs of conversations in which TNI's Onderkelkia was a participant as much as Geomania and there were no provisions in the TNI-TSP treaty regarding transmission of information.

What's more, this Cabinet chose to make public allegations against Onderkelkia and TNI on the basis of those logs - yet the Cabinet apparently wants them locked away so no one can read them and see the allegations for the nonsense they are.

It is truly beyond words.

Actually, HEM, what I was referring to was the leaking of the entire classified complaint the Cabinet issued to TNI, which included the chat log. Cerebella's "sovereign right" to leak classified discussions is just a bunch of BS, and you know that. It goes without saying that leaking is a very serious offense in this game. I was basically forced to resign from the Cabinet for leaking an innocuous sentence from the Cabinet forums. So don't try and sell this BS about how it's a-ok for Cerebella to leak classified information.

Seriously? That's what we have a problem with? idgaf about the logs, so if you want, I'm fine posting them here. But for anyone to suggest that the tone and conversation with Geo was anything other than inappropriate is disingenuous.

Honestly, as someone who is quite unhappy with the breakdown of the TSP-TNI alliance, I'm more than willing to grant leeway in criticism. But, this argument is grasping at straws.

What was the specific effort by the cabinet to communicate the intention of the TRR treaty?
