COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC FOR THE DISTRICT OF GOVERNMENT ISLAND
[2001.OC] NORTH PRARIE V. VARANIUS
SUBMISSION 17 SEPTEMBER 2020 | PROBABLE CAUSE 17 SEPTEMBER 2020 | VERDICT 16 OCTOBER 2020

Whereas this Court has found Varanius guilty of the crime of puppy kicking and must now be given a sentence proportionate to the severity of the crime, this Court finds that said sentence should be as follows:

Varanius is sentenced to serve 30 calendar days of community service at the Government Island Puppy Sanctuary, certified by the Government Island Rehabilitation Commission, and to a ban of 20 minutes from the regional server, the latter to be served in daily segments of 1 minute.

Should Varanius or any other party know of any reason why this sentence should not be given as initially found, they are invited to present their reasons before this Court no later than 17 October 2020.

It is so ordered.

CHIEF JUDGE KRINGLE DELIVERED THE SENTENCE.

Whereas this Court has found Varanius guilty of the crime of puppy kicking and has afforded them a reasonable time to argue the suggested sentence, this Court finds sets the sentence as follows:

Varanius is sentenced to serve 30 calendar days of community service at the Government Island Puppy Sanctuary, certified by the Government Island Rehabilitation Commission, and to a ban of 20 minutes from the regional server, the latter to be served in daily segments of 1 minute.

It is so ordered.
