AN ADDRESS ON N-DAY

28 September 2020

Fellow South Pacificans and potato allies,

This year's N-Day turned out like no other for the South Pacific and its potato allies. As part of the Potato Alliance, we witnessed what seemed like a total loss in the second hour when the Horsemen launched their nukes at us with great success. However, because of the brilliance of our Potato Generals and the resiliency of our Alliance, we managed to hide behind enemy lines for several hours to survive and inevitably return to our faction to mount the most improbable comeback.

Nearly midway through the day, the Potato Alliance was more than 65,000 points in the negative and on the bottom of the leaderboard, yet we came back and exacted our revenge against the Horsemen which put us back into contention as we were back in the top five. As the day progressed, we continued scoring as we kept the Horsemen down and targeted several other factions, briefly putting the Potato Alliance in first place with more than 90 minutes remaining in N-Day.

The Potato Alliance may have finished in second place, but our comeback was nothing short of a miracle that many people will remember for years to come. With this in mind, we would like to thank the South Pacificans, all members of the Potato Alliance, and our friends in CRAB, who stuck with us through thick and thin. Because of this most improbable comeback, this year's N-Day was the most epic iteration of the event in NationStates history. Next year will be ours.
