COURT OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC FOR THE DISTRICT OF GOVERNMENT ISLAND
[SOM.1] SUMMARY ORDER TO COMPEL THE RELEASE OF MILITARY RECORDS
ISSUANCE 15 OCTOBER 2020

Whereas this Court is vested with the power to issue orders to compel individuals and institutions by Article 9 of the Judicial Act, it is resolved as follows:

BACKGROUND AND CONSIDERATION
Article 9, Section 1 of the Judicial Act permits the Court to issue a temporary injunction if it is "in the interest of public peace and order". Ensuring the normal performance of legitimate oversight functions by legislative and judicial institutions is in the interest of public order.

Colonel Llama, Press Secretary to Delegate Amerion, has repeatedly refused to release records of his military career, impeding the legitimate oversight functions of the Assembly and the Court for the District of Government Island. In view of this, it is reasonable and necessary to compel the Ministry of Military Affairs to release the aforementioned records to the relevant authorities.

INJUNCTION
The Ministry of Military Affairs is hereby ordered to released the records of the promotions, performance reviews and overall career progress of Colonel Llama. This injunction shall remain in force until the records are release or until four weeks have passed, whichever happens first, but may be extended in accordance with the Judicial Act.

It is so ordered.
