I'm not sure exactly what the protocol is in regard to divulging information from the Assembly's private forum, but I would imagine the private nature of the forum would imply the contents should remain private.
While the claim of Hobbes being a potential forum destroyer is a textbook definition of defamation, I don't think the above violation fits in the Code of Laws. One could ask the high courts about this, though. There's a procedure outlined in that document.

Neither Glen or I is saying that Hobbes is a "potential forum destroyer". We've said that others believed that there was a risk that he could use the forums as a bargaining chip in the negotiation process and that data could be threatened.

Hence why they approached us for technical advice - seeing it as important that the forum data was scraped and the situation kept quiet before the negotiations could escalate.

Again, why was this worry not relayed to other treatied regions? This is frankly independent of Hobbes now. If someone's believed to be a threat to destroying forums, in any capacity, all communities that have that guy as a forum administrator, moderator, whatever, should be informed of this danger. That's just bush league.

I'm just going to note i had nothing to do with how this exploded and then then i'll quietly back out

Because the news would spread like wild-fire that Lazarus was concerned about him and if they were right about Hobbes, the situation would have been a lot worse.

Furthermore, he's not Root Admin in any of Lazarus's treatied regions. He had a lot more responsibilities in Lazarus. There was a lot more risk involved in Lazarus that if the negotiations fell through, Lazarus's forums might not have been recoverable.

Silence was a necessary strategy to avoid the worst case scenario - spreading the word about would have been ill-advised and potentially caused more problems if the worst case scenario occurred.

Personally, I don't want to see more GCR relationships explode because x said y about me.

Everyone should just take a chill pill, seriously.

So -- I'm just going to through this out there -- as a member of TSP, I couldn't give a flying eff less about Lazarus' forums.

As such, if we could keep this discussion to how it pertains to this region, that would be great.

Yeah, the details of the Lazarus forum situation aren't really relevant unless Glen can produce some evidence that there was good reason to publicly suggest Hobbes destroying the Lazarus forum was a serious concern. What is relevant is the impact this pattern of conduct from Glen is having on TSP.

What I care about at the moment is that Glen-Rhodes is wrecking TSP's foreign affairs. For every new treaty that TSP is ratifying, another region is either cancelling a treaty or signaling privately or publicly that they will not enter into a treaty with TSP because of Glen and the extremism he's advocating from his platform as MoFA here. I've heard murmurs that there are current treaty allies of TSP that are considering treaty cancellation because of the path that Glen has been charting for TSP's foreign affairs.

If Glen is left to continue his agenda as MoFA, it's very likely, in my view, that TNP, TRR, and Lazarus are going to be TSP's only treaty allies and that the region's independence is going to be in serious jeopardy. Other independent regions -- not even to mention imperialist and raider regions -- increasingly don't want to associate with TSP because of Glen's conduct. His approach has entirely failed to improve TSP's diplomatic standing, which leaves one to wonder what agenda exactly he is pursuing if he isn't pursuing the improvement of TSP's diplomatic standing. I've never seen independent, imperialist, and raider regions less interested in relations with TSP or more certain that TSP is about to become a defender region, and this is due primarily -- if not exclusively -- to Glen's contempt for and hostility toward non-defender regions even as he introduces defender treaty after defender treaty to the Assembly.

If the Assembly doesn't recall Glen, TSP is going to be isolated into the defender sphere. For all practical purposes, it already is, but the damage can't be reversed until the root of the problem is uprooted.

Cormac, the only you care at all about anything I may or may not have said about Hobbes is because Osiris is declaring war on Lazarus and it's convenient to use Hobbes' ouster as a political point in going to war with Lazarus. This is all you acting out your political agenda of Osiris' war on Lazarus.

So, yes, I do believe you're abusing your citizenship. You are doing this because it suits Osiris, not because you care about TSP's government. If this was any other region, you and the rest of Gameplay would currently be going on a witch hunt to crucify the person doing this type of thing.
