PRESS RELEASE JUNE 2022 SPSF SERVICE REPORT 1 July 2022 Fellow South Pacificans, Every day, the South Pacific Special Forces strives to uphold the principles of its motto, lux, veritas, virtus — light, truth, virtue. We aim to bring light to regions blackened by raider aggression, stay true to the democratic principles of the Coalition, and fight with virtue on the battlefield. Today, we look back on the past month of June to recognize the continued efforts of SPSF personnel on each of these fronts. Lux — Light In the past month, 14 different SPSF service members deployed across 56 updates, or 93% of the 60 that took place during the month. While these figures reveal the lowest updater count of the year so far, they also highlight the increased action on the battlefield. SPSF personnel deployed to more updates than they have during any previous month in the year to date, and also completed over 1,500 defenses and over 700 detags during the month. As tagging runs by raiders have become more frequent, the SPSF has stepped up to face the challenge. Veritas — Truth The SPSF has also continued to carry out its mandate under the Charter to promote the military policies of the Coalition abroad. Of special note this month include clean-sheet defenses at the major update of June 14 and back-to-back liberations of Bigtopia and Union of Democrats on June 18 and 19. Virtus — Virtue The SPSF awards a range of service ribbons to personnel for their service, viewable here. Service members may also find their ribbons with the Updater Lookup tab of the SPSF Data Portal. Below are the service ribbons awarded for this month.

Today, we look back on the past month of July to recognize the continued efforts of SPSF personnel on each of these fronts. Lux — Light In the past month, 15 different SPSF service members deployed across 46 updates, or 74% of the 62 that took place during the month. During these updates, SPSF personnel participated in over 600 defenses. In addition, the 938 detags that service members participated in represent the highest figure of any month to date this year. I am also proud to share that @Asia and Pacific and @Purple Hyacinth have begun the process of officer training. Our service records speak to their dedication and passion in defending, and both are making steady progress in learning the skills needed to serve on the officer corps of our Special Forces. Veritas — Truth The SPSF has also continued to carry out its mandate under the Charter to promote the military policies of the Coalition abroad. Of special note this month, in the major and minor updates of July 16, the SPSF participated in a joint operation with our Aegis allies, detagging 342 regions across the two updates. Virtus — Virtue The SPSF awards a range of service ribbons to personnel for their service. Today, we look back on the past month of August to recognize the continued efforts of SPSF personnel on each of these fronts. Lux — Light In the past month, 25 different SPSF service members deployed across 17 updates. This represents a significant decline from the 46 updates attended last month, but also an increase in the total number of service members with activity recorded this month. In these operations, the SPSF participated in 114 defenses and 242 detags, along with three liberations, including of Realm of the Whispering Winds. Veritas — Truth In the wake of the sieges and eventual liberation of Realm of the Whispering Winds, I am also proud to welcome Cаt, Vrigny, and the Elysian Empire, all of whom participated valiantly in our sieges and subsequently enlisted as SPSF soldiers. They join our other new recruits this month, Yie. and North Historia. A warm welcome to all! Virtus — Virtue The SPSF awards a range of service ribbons to personnel for their service.
