My Dear Minions,

I am glad that got your attention.

I write to inform my loyal subjects of my intent to not contest the next Delegate election. With just over two weeks until the commencement of proceedings, it is appropriate to telegraph my plans so as to give prospective candidates the requisite time to prepare their campaigns and to attain the necessary number of endorsements to qualify for candidature — a number of endorsements equal to at least 80% of the existing applicable endorsement cap at the commencement of the election period.

As many of you may be well aware, I campaigned on a platform of reliability and stability with regular informational updates to Minions everywhere (through expanded fortnightly Delegate's Briefings and short News Waves) and consistent Endorsement Days. I believe that these have been, on a whole, successful in their contribution to our public knowledge and in maintaining our remarkably strong World Assembly numbers. The Index of Announcements was designed in such a way that a public record would exist for future Delegates to consult and hopefully improve on these practices.

On that front, I have been privileged to see firsthand the expansion and renewal of the Office of WA Legislation. It is an institution we can all be proud of and I applaud the hard work of both its pioneering founders as well as its current members. The cooperation between OWL and the Office of the Delegate has been strong, as is attested to by the Voting Record, and I hope that this pattern will continue under my successor.

This sense of renewal is what compels me to step down in the coming months. The Delegacy is a powerful tool in the arsenal of regional growth. It is our most public of offices and its potential is, I believe, only limited by the imagination of its officeholder. In that vein, I trust that there are many South Pacificans who have both the creativity, drive, and most importantly, the trust of Minions, to propel the Coalition to greater heights.
