Election coverage
#51

Well where are we going to host it? The RMB or the IRC? Then we knew to know when we should hold it so we should ask people to see when most would attend and finally we need to know how are we going to host it, I have already given my suggestion for that.

I wouldn't do it on the RMB unless Kris is willing to suppress posts willy nilly. Ya can silence people on IRC, if need be. Skype is also an option.

That would be very illegal (speaking about suppressing posts), so no, not an option. I always thought it would happen on IRC, and then we would share the logs on the forum and dispatches.

Posts outside High Court venues should be taken as those of any other legislator.
I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.

Our main concern here is a conflict of Interests, since you're also a candidate for CoA. If you do want to come on board though, I'd see what I can do.

Whatever works best for you. If you need me, I'm here. I'll still be hosting the Journal Tonight regardless, so I'll have more than enough opportunities to pipe up my views

I secretly wish to have a session of the Journal Tonight actually featuring real people (aka us). But yes, if you so wish to analyse the platforms with us, you can, I suppose.

How are with doing with the debates? Which positions will we have debates on?

Delegate and regional affairs defiantly. They have three or more in them.

I thought of this of the debate.

1. An opening speech from each contender.
2. Then questions from the host
3. After that they would have so much time to cross examine each other.
4. Then finally they would answer questions from the audience.

I wouldn't mind being the host for any excepted MoRA as I would be in that one.
I could definitely take on this format. And yes, we'll be hosting it on the IRC channel, either #the_south_pacific, or another dedicated channel.

Also, because voting starts on the 21st instead, we'll have more time to work on things. Our pre-vote coverage should end on the 20th as such.

Oh, I forgot there would be a closing speech from each contender at the end.

I've had "real people" on the show too! It's just so hard to find a balanced panel with real TSPers.
