RE: [IC] Reizen Civil War - Hammerstar - 05-21-2019

Diao Chan smiled, things were falling into place.

"Minister Hunt, with consideration of how the Voodoo republic have been providing a low stream of supply to the WPR is evidence enough. The Frost empire may have placed a blind eye now, and all the more reason to feel compromised." Explained the High Diplomat, "As we see it the only way WPR gets its supplies is by smuggling routes through loyalist territory, and if your agenda to promote a socialist government in Reizen were to happen by a steady stream of sponsorship of the WPR to win control, then those that follows the politburo must be given the humanitarian aid needed. Such aid could simply be shot down by the loyalists, unless you find other means to get supplies into the theatre."

"Huawan is one of the only countries where it is trying to solve the humanitarian crisis in the field, and alongside the World Forum, it has secured a great channel to provide medical care, refugee asylum and food rations for those displaced. If you would like to support your comrades even more, we suggest the usage of the official routes." Explained Diao Chan, "we shall ensure that aid shall be given equally in the Reizen theatre and the publicity would prove to be beneficial in promoting your agenda, warming the hearts of the population to favor the Rouge. You could provide non-militaristic aid that is severely needed by the WPR, which would enhance our agenda in keeping everything intact, and it would give the socialist agenda, including the republic itself, much needed popularity."

"As for Kai Fa, I shall contact my counterpart in a separate forum. Of all else, our goals are to ensure that this intercontinental conflict would not pester trade routes and ground the region's economy to a halt. The Ryccian incursion and the presence of both active Bzerne, Frost and Fauderlanndian assets in the sea may be a reason to safeguard the flow of trade, and the faster we could end this conflict, the better the economy could run once more." Continued Diao Chan.

High Diplomat Diao Chan was prepared to face another chastise, and another counteroffer. She took the notes from the conversation, and would prefer to address other topics at a later, but immediate time.

RE: [IC] Reizen Civil War - Jay Coop - 05-21-2019

Chancellor Margaret Harrison's secretary informed her that the Peony wishes to have a conversation by phone. The chancellor nodded. "The Peony will be on Line 4," the secretary said.

"Hello, this is Margaret Harrison, the Chancellor of the Valkyrian Republic."

RE: [IC] Reizen Civil War - VPRB - 05-22-2019

Hunt laid his forehead in his handpalm, as he felt an headache growing. 'What now' he poundered 'Why do even the Peony have to meddle in this? First with their shenanigans about the validity of the Empire's claim - like anyone cared ha!- then this...' A theather full of primadonnas, that's what the South Pacific is!'.

Whatever ambition they had in mind, it was time to cut the crap, he decided. Better to know already to which extent they were turning their backs on Bruuma.

"I am formally asking you, High Diplomat, to provide me now with an answer, if you are going to open us your bases as per Treaty or not. I have already proved my goodwill by agreeing to your timing conditions, whose compliance to our written agreement is at best dubious. I will not discuss anything else until I have my answer".

Diao Chan took her pad, and clicked sent.

"I have taken the liberty of sending you a document which would show the mutual agreement. Scan us the document with your signature, stamped, and Bruuma shall be allowed to position its assets in Huawan. The Peonic Armed Forces shall be happy to receive you."

Diao Chan looked at the clock, and switched the phone to her other ear.

"Is there anything else, Minister Hunt?"

"Assalamualikum Honorable Chancellor, it is a pleasure to finally contact you once more." Mentioned The Peony, "fortunately the Ramadhan as well as the Football World Championships would make it difficult for attend you myself. There are several points worth consulting with you, if you could oblige, honorable Chancellor Harrison."

"That would be all for today, High Diplomat. If the document you sent me is compliant, and already signed and stamped on your side as I presume, we will send it back to you with our approval too, and your assets will be likewise allowed in Bruuma and Puerto Pollo. Thank your for your time, for any need of further discussion you are welcome to contact me at any time. I wish you a good day".

Hunt allowed himself to collapse on the chair, and tried to assess the results. Clearly he did not gain any favour with the High Diplomat, all the opposite in fact, and relationships with Hawuan were on the decline. On the other hand, he did get the bases open for Drake's crafts and the Treaty was still in force. Sure, he doubted they would renew on that after August, and his fellow minister in the Defence would not be enthusiast about the clock ticking, but by then maybe the Reizen mess would be cleared up, and with a bit of luck new allies could be found elsewhere. Or maybe with time, and mostly some evidence of the economic benefits of the agreement, the rift could still be mended. If they really wanted to protect their shipping routes, having the Bruuman ports open to their warships was not something they would - or at least should-  renounce so lightly.

One thing was for sure: he had clearly underestimated Huawan's ambitions and craftiness... whatever their ultimate goal was, that was a mistake he was not going to repeat.

The phone rang again. Please, let it not be the pesky High Diplomat again. Internal line, he noticed, good. "Yes'?" he answered. As the operator spoke, smile returned on the face of Hunt. 'How do they say?' he thought 'When one door closes...'

"All according to plan." Thought Diao Chan, her tablet already finished saving her conversation, and it is time to report with The Peony. The High Diplomat took her winter coat, and with it, her tablet as well as Doctor Valentine.

It is time to plan.

RE: [IC] Reizen Civil War - GI-Land - 05-22-2019

Bzerne meeting with the chancellor and foreign minister

As the envoy entered the room, Tom Kirchmann - chancellor of GI-Land - and Marja Sanddorn - minister of foreign affairs of GI-Land - both stood up and went in for a handshake.

"I hope you had a pleasant journey", said Tom before offering a seat to each of the guests.
As they all sat down and individually poured themselves a cup of tea, cocoa or coffee there was silence in the room at first. A tense silence, because it's publically known GI-Land is pretty hesitant to Bzerne foreign politics. They know that Bzerneleg in doubt plays themselves a little bigger than they actually are and so expected the delegation to say directly what they would want, but after a good minute of nothing happening, the foreign minister took the word first.

"Well, welcome to GI-Land. I'm sure you suggested this meeting, because you wanted to offer something, but first I would like to remind you of our official position again, which is that we won't collaborate with any foreign power meddling into the internal conflicts of our befriended nation north-west from us. Nonetheless we await now with excitement, what brought you here, what you want to bring onto the table."

RE: [IC] Reizen Civil War - Folkmann - 05-22-2019

Army General Jörgen Deikermann stepped up to make his announcement, “The RIM had stated that they will greatly appreciate support and will have closer relations with the southeastern continent. It is of our great interest to back a faction that wants independence from our long rival. Many Reizens are not apposed to deals and agreements with Fauderland and other nations in the area but are cut off because the Empire doesn’t allow it. While we want to support those, the RIM, who have developed good relations with us, we also don’t want to directly declare war on the Frost Empire unless there’s a good reason to do so. The city of Kinjishi is still under RIM control. This is an important port and it’s in our best interest to help defend it. There will be a meeting with the Armed Forces of Sorbkraia in the next couple of days to discuss a possible collaboration effort.”
