With the voting period now over and a majority in favour of Option 1, the composition of Pacifica's solar system shall be the following:

Quote:0: The Sun: same type as our real-life sun.

1: Hot Gas Giant: ~14.5 x Pacifica mass + Large Moon 1: ~2 x real-life Moon mass

2: Small Planet 1: ~2 x real-life Mercury mass

3: Asteriod Belt 1 with dwarf planet

4: Small Planet 2: ~3 x real-life Mercury mass

5: Pacifica (Planet 1): 1 x real-life Earth mass + the two moons decided on earlier

6: Rocky Planet 2: ~1 x real-life Mars mass

7: Gas Giant 1: ~330 x real-life Earth mass + smaller moons

8: Gas Giant 2: ~100 x real-life Earth mass + rings

9: Asteroid Belt 2

10: Rocky Planet 3: ~10 x real-life Earth mass + rings + Large Moon 3

11: Ice Giant 1: ~18 x real-life Earth mass + rings + Large Moon 3

12: Zone with asteroid belts and dwarf planets

We now need common/Austral names for these. How should we proceed?

Well, IRL planet names are all after the roman pantheon. Perhaps we should take a similar route, but modified? We could come up with what the planets would be called in our nations, and then list it out and vote on each one?

I think we should do it like the [Discussion and Voting] Names for the bodies of water on the regional map thread

I like Phoenix's idea but I think we should only name the planet that is within the eyesight of the people after the roman pantheon (Modified) but the ones that be needed telescopes to see be named by the finder

So long as the ice giant is called Xion i don’t mind the names for the others
