You probably have no idea what I am even talking about. I am going to make custom interpretation showing just how amazing it is. Wait till next week, though. I dabbled when I was a student and still take a vague interest (and indeed, I continue to dabble a lot in quite a few languages), but I didn't really get much past the basics and my vocabulary mostly consists of the category of 'nouns I think would be cool to use in works of fiction'. Also, my memory of hiragana and katakana is appalling and I hardly knew any kanji to begin with. Having said all that. I worked out what you said both times. I used google translate to be confident about it, but I did get it right. Irrelevant to everyone else, but to me, that was a mini trophy moment, so thank you for the opportunity! That's fine, I knew it was unlikely you'd go past those sentences. I just jump at the opportunity to practise. Hoping to go to Japan one day.

Me too. My former flatmate is there now. He teaches English to kindergarten children and is a musician and photographer in his spare time. I'm occasionally quite jealous.

Almost certainly. That and deriving an obscene amount of pleasure out of producing Japanese students who speak English with a Yorkshire accent...
