A new bill on the floor of the Congress of Anserisa will explore the possibility to give paid work leave to allow people some time to assist Municipal Councils' sessions in an effort to prevent local projects always going to the wealthiest neighbourhoods simply because people there can afford to go.

The Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Holy Free, Yangle Paema appeared in a press release of the Holy Freean Embassy yesterday, concerning the death of the Besernian Minister of Family and Social Development, Amelinda Baier. Here are some of his statements;

"... Our sincere condolence. As may the Holy Mother guides her soul. As the incident happened near the border, we offer the government of Besern help in the investigation to provide closure to the friends and family of the deceased. ..."

"... With rumors of the Adellinde river being cursed by the deceased noble coinciding with the high suicide rates is simply a coincidence. The superstitious nature of the rumor is unprovable and is stirring fear in the locals. The rumors are just rumors, do not believe them as fact. ..."

"... [The] death that happened the day before is also a matter of security on the border, we urge for more protective measures on both sides of the border such as coast guards patrolling the river looking for ones that needed help. ..."

Minister-President Raymond Doumergue announced today his intentions to evaluate the nationalisation of the Mines Cavagnal. The mines are personal property of the family of the Grand-Duke. The Royal Family responded that this proposal is "once again a pathetic attempt by the Minister-President to fabricate a constitutional crisis against the Grand-Ducal family"

Minister-President Raymond Doumergue has been trying to remove powers to the Grand-Ducal family and to the nobility which has sparked a constitutional crisis in 2020. After coming into an agreement near the end of the year, after a 3 month lockdown of the legislative process, it seems that the Minister-President is ready to start his fight once more.

Rumours that the New Mako Metropolitan Police are investigating the Liberal Party on accusations of Electoral Spending irregularities have been circulating around the capital today. The liberal party declined to comment on these accusations and when the Chief Commissioner of New Mako Metropolitan police was asked to comment he said “I can neither confirm nor deny, or in anyway compromise the legitimacy of the election this week.”

Izaakia goes to the poles today in a general election, the Liberal Party is widely expected to gain a majority in a strong swing from the Conservative party that has ruled for the last 6 years.

Foreign minister Sanddorn asked the Gianlucians to think about the peoples of La Montagne and Brödmark today, who were barred from their referenda, which were supposed to happen in the next few days. "The self-determination of people is one of the highest goods. We hope the new Izaakian government will see it this way too."

Results came in overnight with a landslide victory for the liberal party projected as the poles closed. With 60% of the seats declared the liberal party are just 10 seats short of an absolute majority. Liberal leader Stella Blanc is expected to make a speech later today.
