Synopsis: When Hugo, a so-called ‘Runner’, breaks into Anna’s apartment in the middle of the night, he tells her that Spiritus is in danger and convinces her to leave the apartment. They sprint through the crumbling city, as fighter jets fly overhead and screams fill the air. Anna and Hugo try to catch a train that they eventually miss, so they are forced to enter the West Spiritus Bunker, which is virtually empty. They meet Sarah, a woman who lost her son when the explosions began, and a Runner named Lorenze.

The four of them try to get to Monte, a town in Greenville known for its defences against all types of attack, and the only place rumoured to be safe. Anna, Hugo, Lorenze and Sarah find themselves traversing all of Phanama, and even meet with DSTGR, the organisation wreaking havoc all over the country. They eventually manage to catch a train to Monte but, even then, the path is not a straight line.

Additional Information: The name of the show, 'DSTGR', is a reference to the fictional organisation DSTGR that is the main antagonist of the series. DSTGR is an abbreviation for the Phanaman word 'distruggerre' which means 'destruction' in Austral.
