(IC) What happened to Flight HIA 402?

As the items of baggage were loaded unto the plane, and the crew did their pre-flight checks. Passengers entered the plane one by one and shuffled unto their seats. The CM 8000 jetliner was due en route to Targassona, Ceretania. It was a long flight, following the equator and crossing The South Pacifican region. The adults cosied up for the flight and the children shuffled around on their seats. Cabin crew provided hot towels and menu selections to those in the designated seats, while those in business and first-class are given their selected beverage of choice, alcoholic or non-alcoholic.

The HIA 402 took off at precisely 1:41 AM and planespotters admired the vessel that took off that day, and binoculars ready, as it flew out of sight, disappearing in the clouds of noon. The trackers were available and detected the radar as it flew over the Rainbow Islands, but off the coast of the Winston Islands, the signal was gone. There was no sound of a large crash head from Finixian fishermen that are available that day, nor any reports of a request for help. The vessel vanished, nowhere to be found. The Southern Cooperation Organization along with the Southern Socialist Organization cooperated this one time and searched the plane together across its flight zone. Every vessel, modern and traditional all looked for any sign of debris or hints, yet the plane just vanished into thin air, along with it, 140 passengers and 20 crew on board.

Many theories came across the desks of flight investigators, an anti airstrike, a hijacker, or a suicidal pilot. None came slightly above complete speculation, although the intelligence community knew of one thing. There was "Treasure" in the plane, one that will change the region. Indeed, the plane had carried a large number of bank reserves, and finding them could make any seadog rich beyond belief. But some speculate of another type of treasure, one theory was that plans of a biological weapon existed inside a hard drive, and the theorists speculated such because one man held the code like a nuclear football, a transaction was supposed to be made by an unknown party until the plane was missing. Another speculation lies in the data of a certain journalist, set in a briefcase which entails every single illegal offshore bank account filled with money from tax evasion by the rich and powerful.

These are all speculation, no one knew what the treasure was, if any, and the fate of the missing plane as well as what happened to the passengers. Until one morning.

Two scientists sat in their office overlooking the beach, it would be a nice day out had it not been disrupted by the immense satellites and radars that plagued the beach. The Valkyrian government had used them as Anti-Missile radars, but admitted that they were mostly done to check the weather. The radars kept the Valkyrian enemies in check, and it was either a missile launch in the north of Cordilia, or a typhoon. The two men shuffled around bored, they had already done their report, but are told to stand by. What is there to stand by? Everything is automated already.

A final glance at the monitor had them stunned, before looking again. There was a signal off of Christie's trench, and lies a signal. A lone signal in Christie's trench that's normally identified as the black box, could it be? It can't be! That's impossible!

Within the hour, the news spread, and with it the search and rescue expedition can finally begin. To search for the wreck, to recover anyone that might still be alive, and to search for the elusive "treasure"

For the one that claims the treasure, whatever it may be, shall be powerful unmatched by their own peers.

THE HUNT BEGINS!

Rules and Objectives:
Here's a Rundown of the Objectives:

1. Dive into the deep sea into Christie's Trench.

2. Find the HIA 402 by patching any clues found regarding its disappearance (Every clue would unlock a flashback regarding the plane crash, and a new objective)

3. Find out what happened to the HIA 402 and whether or not there are any survivors.

4. Locate the "Treasure" and figure out what it is (You may speculate on the nature of this treasure)

5. (Optional) Claim the treasure as your own, and only your own. Sharing is unnecessary and sabotage can be an accident Wink

6. Promote your nations foreign policy.

7. (Optional) SAVE THE ANSERISAN HELICOPTER CREW They are alive, and waiting transport

8. (Optional) NEUTRALIZE THE SCRAMBLER USING COUNTERINTEL Countered by Tin

9. Save the Crew of the Jolly Roger and The Rombold

10. Help The Peonic Paramedics Transport the Anserisan Helicopter Crew

11. Rescue the HMS Sonny to the Peonic Docks

12. Find what caused the destruction of the Izaakian RV Yellow Submarine

Further objectives will follow

Here are the Rules:

1. For every action your nation makes, I will be rolling a D20. I will only roll once per action. No redos, no retakes. An example of an action is "I send my nation's troops here." You can have multiple actions per post, but, do not expect all of them to succeed.

2. The events resulting from those rolls will be posted here.

3. Actual Roll results will be posted on the OOC thread.

4. Have fun!
