[Aurora] Introduction to the Kingdom of Threnebor, Realm of the Mountain Dwarves
#4

Population
Mountain Dwarves
The main race of the Kingdom are of course the Dwarves, specifically the Mountain Dwarves or Thronurin's Folk. This race stands short comparing to the other races at roughly 1,3 m in height. However they have a sturdy design and can easily withstand heavy attacks from other races. The race consists of two sexes, although some distant parts may only believe there are no Dwarf females or they look and sound the same as their male counterparts. These rumours are untrue, but Dwarf females are highly guarded and aren't expected to leave their mountain homes, though there are exceptions to this. Dwarf females are of the same height and have the same reproductive organs as human female, although they can be hairier than human females. Female Dwarves are known to grow sideburns, though this has become a rarity over the centuries. Males have extensive hair and are often called Longbeards by other races. As the area around the mouth has no facial hair in the female sex, having hair in these parts as a male is a sign of masculinity and most males will at least bear a goatee. Hair colours are also limited to brown, dark and red. Over time they will grow gray, but this is expected after 200 years.
Dwarves ago incredibly quickly as they come of age at 14 and live in between 250 to 350 years. Though some exceptions can be found such as Thronurin the Undying who lived up to 500 years. This give the dwarves plenty of time to give in to their passion of artisanship, often giving up on family life. This however would have been a trouble, but thanks to a gender imbalance this is offset. Around 60% of the Dwarves are male and 40% female and most only have one child, with 4 being an utmost limit. Dwarves would rather focus on their artisanship and have no regrets on not leaving their works to kin of their own. Dwarves are also very stubborn and might go entire lives loving a certain person, whom will not love them and this also forms a few problems for the race as a whole. Albeit their current numbers are around 1,5 million

Human
Humans have also become part of the Kingdom as they migrated from far away lands in search for riches which the Dwarves has plenty of. Thus an alliance was made between the two races. Humans now formally were part of the Kingdom and swore allegiance to the King Under The Mountain. Their origin is unknown, but they have spread all over Terra Aurora and have become one of the most dominant species. They have a taller stature than Dwarves, ranging from 1,6 to 2 m. They are less sturdy however, but they are more adaptable to situations than Dwarves and the vast differences between the different strains of men is another advantage they posses as a species.
Like Dwarves they have two sexes. Unlike female Dwarves, women don't grow any facial hair, but humans can have blonde hair and red hair is a rarity. Humans are considered to come of age at 16 years within the Kingdom, but easily stay longer with their parents until about 18 years when they part away. Unlike Dwarves, humans have a tighter bond with their family which is much more numerous and the limit is considered to be 12, significantly higher than Dwarves. They are spread across the rivers of the Kingdom and number into the 300.000 as their numbers grow exponentionally.
