(IC) What happened to Flight HIA 402?

Roll 7: Wrath of the Sea

The first recon submarine from Shang Ye continued forward to Christie's trench submerged, and as it arrives at night, much earlier than expected, it begins to unleash sonars to find the wreckage at the triangulated location. However, the submarine came into contact with a whale, their sonars had made the whale mistake the sub as a mate, and after a severe impact, their communications are down. They would have to surface, which is impossible due to the typhoon. Meanwhile, Wen-Bo managed to get his takeout as a downpour begun outside the hotel, and he cuts the pizza with two slices on the middle, eating it, leaving Chen with a football-shaped pizza instead of a circular one.

As some of the ships leave to Winston island for repairs and restocking, some ships from the Izaakian naval fleet waited out the storm. The ships that went back managed to arrive before the typhoon and the other ships are standing by at sea, moving about in such treacherous waves. The royal yacht moves to DeIp island in the storm, unlike the naval ships, the yacht was not designed to withstand such winds, it moves slowly, creeping into the windy island and causing many of the Empress's things thrown about, including some wine bottles crashing down from their storages and some knick-knacks dropped down. The HMS Komodo had orders from Nemo to continue as the other ships weathered through the storm, and while it moves to approach the triangulated location, the submarine lost contact after screams were heard from the radiomen. Screams of something breaking the hull and attacking the vessel. By minutes, the submarine was not in radar, and no one seems to know what had happened to them. A similar fate was received from the HMS Stingray as it moves to investigate the unknown signals, their drone submarines lost a signal after an hour of searching, but the HMS Stingray, currently rocking on the high tides of the typhoon, knew a certain piece of information that they could not pass due to faulty communication lines in the storm. The captain of the HMS Stingray was surprised and shocked about what he uncovered, and he intends to wait out the storm, fearful of what lurks underneath. The Izaakian team in the deep island, decided to explore north of Deep island, they managed to find some crates and an old sailboat beached. There were people on this island, and from the Izaakian scan before, there may still more people in Deep island, camping out from the storm.

The Besernian air crew however, searched the south side of the island after agreeing with the Izaakians to part ways. As the team moves to explore the island slowly, they stumbled across a jungle trap covered with leaves. Three of the crew had fallen to the pit, and was impaled on sharp sticks. Some of the crew, as they continued forth felt their nerves dead, and fell down. While others were tackled by wild boars, impaled by their tusks as Snakes had bitten them and the toxin was rapid. Half of the crew are now dead, and the commander decided to camp it out as the typhoon rolls in. The Besernian vessels, however, reunited at Winston Island, but the port was full, and they had to anchor near the coast, they are unable to do repairs as the ships rocked around the high waves. It wasn't all bad news, the Besernian expedition that was beached before, were rescued and a squadron of vessels managed to move to Winston Island to join the other Besernian ships.

Back at base, the Anserisan FAA Princip-Stephano heads to Winston Island at a slow and steady pace and arrived at night just as the storm was crashing in. The crew packed the suit for the President and had it cleaned, but unfortunately, that was the only thing they packed for him, the President doesn't have anything else to wear. What's worse, is that the suit had shrunk a bit.

The Holy Free tried to fix the computer after it was damaged, yet it continued to be broken. The computer is beyond repair now. However, the crew managed to contact the pilot backgrounds from ZhangHai, and after interpretation, it was revealed that the crew were ex-military, the pilot captain was revealed to have a daughter with leukemia, and the co-pilot had been in debt after years of gambling addiction. They were beginning to piece together the next major clue, and they needed to analyze the backgrounds further. Meanwhile, the captain of HMS Sonny managed to ask Winston Island for water current datas, and the Holy Free has full access of any data on the water current as that would happen later on, a tremendous opportunity indeed. The investigators tried to search more possibilities, but the typhoon had the staff locked in their rooms with no internet, they didn't manage to search for other possibilities at this time.

Back at the Peonic forward base, the restocking of the RPV Katsugawa and the RPNV Raika was going smoothly, the ships were ready and geared for the morrow to set sail. Professor Kao Min Hao had also interpreted the deep sea results and gotten a more accurate map, the one used by the Investigator in her presentation. What's more, the unknown signals are rather peculiar, the frequencies are a mix of machine patterns and biological patterns. It could be that the signals are emitted from sound-based sea lifeforms, that may meddle with the data. The Peonic command centre had also fitted seismography equipment to detect disasters that would happen for a pre-emptive preparation. Captain Ko, Captain Souma and Investigator Lliong, along with Professor Kao, were too busy in their work and did not have time for trivial backstories. The investigators at RPNV Raika tried to get some clues from Huawan Intercontinental, but the office was on holiday for a week, and a discussion from a rather Karen-like call centre, had made the expedition blocked from reaching the corporation for data.

The Eareamian Fleets arrive at night as the storm was going on. The morning would begin with a clear rainbow and a calm sea, perfect to go back
