Choir recording:
He who was a pilgrim
Set foot in the valley
Of darkness that it is
Mud on the ground there is
Storms on the clouds above
Creatures poisonous here and there
Hills and peaks here and there
But he could not give up
His old village was all dead
Left to ruins, no one spared
They all showed no mercy
He then looked off a cliff
A village so pristine
It was like light at the end
of the tunnel so he stood
so proclaims Artemis
Artemis (the pilgrim):
How pristine
How so clear
I can see it
from right here
I proclaim
the sacred land
Heinesmund
You shall be blessed
Choir recording:
So he took a step
off the cliff
The village opened
He blessed them
Shield from harm
Shield from pain
then storms came
The demons came
Unleashing dread
Theodore forced
them all outside
but Artemis
He then returned
with a dead child
His dying wish
To see them all
The lake he needed to see
Artemis (the pilgrim):
I beg for your mercy
Theodore please
Before I leave
He wanted to see
The lake in here that
was blessed by thee
He wanted to see it all
As his dying wish
Now at his new home
Fulfilling his wish
Theodore, the king of the raiders + the raiders crowd:
That monster
killed that child
Our war is still unreconciled
Let him die
Let him bleed
He committed sin
No mercy for him
Theodore:
I will not
give you mercy
Your death brings
our pleasure indeed
<silence as transition goes to Artemis' death>
Artemis:
I would not come here
Just to die
<silence as transition skips one line>
Choir recording:
The gods who saw this mess
Punished them with regret
They can't see their right or wrongs
Even through their own brain
<silence as transition skips the rest of the line>
Many years
Many tears
The village
Once pristine
Abandoned now
For no more shall
A pilgrim set foot
On this cursed land
A question that remains unanswered
A question that has weight that is
A question that will make one fall
A question that is over all
In this dimension that is
For everyone to see
The question that is sacred
"Why wouldn't he grant his wish?"
