[PASSED] Amend the Times Act |
Can't we just build in a time converter into the forum like TNP does theirs so it shows deadlines according to a user's local time?
Edit: Nevermind, this happened. At this point, we should just do away with the whole act.

So, as amusing as I find this thread, this here is the right answer. If the game updates at midday and midnight, it would make sense to follow the game dynamics. Anything else is swimming against the tide. To be the old man here, we had gone by the ET ~20-years ago and switched because it was American-centric. (Although, there's probably something of a chicken and egg situation where this space continues to be American-centric because it was originally American-centric ...) Anyhow, while I know we're trying to make coding upgrades here, I'd just like to stress the need for a bit of flexibly when scheduling. It's probably not a huge problem if we let something run from 12:01a Sydney time to 11:59p Honolulu time. People have lives outside of this game and it seems like to sliding back toward strict schedules and definitions which makes the game burdensome rather than fun.

While I live in the US Eastern Timezone, I dont mind the UTC. Im cool with having to do the math so everyone elses math isnt stupid hard.
Since we now have the bbcode, Im perfectly fine with the newest proposal. I motion to vote.
