PROCLAMATION OF RESULTS

FEBRUARY 2022 CABINET ELECTION

WHEREAS a round of voting was held between the days of 07 February 2022 and 10 February 2022 to determine the candidates elected to the Cabinet, the result being as follows:

PRIME MINISTER
  • HumanSanity (87.50% in the first round) (Elected Prime Minister)

  • Witchcraft & Sorcery (12.50% in the first round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)
MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
  • Roavin (74.36% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Foreign Affairs)

  • Sandaoguo (25.64% in the first round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)

    * 1 vote cast by Ryccia was deemed invalid on account that it contained non-consecutive preferences for a candidate.
MINISTER OF CULTURE
  • Eshialand (56.41% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Culture)

  • Murelia (38.46% in the first round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (5.13% in the first round)

    * 1 vote cast by Nakari was deemed invalid on account that it contained non-consecutive preferences for a candidate.
MINISTER OF ENGAGEMENT
  • Purple Hyacinth (89.74% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Engagement)

  • Jebediah (10.26% in the first round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)

    * 1 vote cast by Nakari was deemed invalid on account that it contained non-consecutive preferences for a candidate.
MINISTER OF MEDIA
  • Wizard Ferret (58.97% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Media)

  • Belschaft (41.03% in the first round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (0.00% in the first round)

    * 1 vote cast by Ryccia was deemed invalid on account that it contained non-consecutive preferences for a candidate.
MINISTER OF DEFENCE
  • Moon (97.50% in the first round) (Elected Minister of Defence)

  • Re-Open Nominations (2.50% in the first round)
CRAZIEST PERSON
  • Me (63.64% in the third round) (Elected Craziest Person)

  • Kris Kringle (36.36% in the third round)

  • Re-Open Nominations (18.42% in the second round)

  • Meaningful Cough (10.26% in the first round)

    * 1 vote cast by Nakari was deemed invalid on account that it contained non-consecutive preferences for a candidate.
THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby proclaim on this day, 10 February 2022, that:
  • The candidates signaled as such in the list above have obtained a majority of votes after all votes were been counted and preferences have been properly distributed, and consequently have been duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the offices detailed in the list above.

  • The candidate Me, its identity being by its own nature of a subjective character, is interpreted as referring to Belschaft, and consequently Belschaft has been duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific as Craziest Person.

  • The result of this election as proclaimed on this day shall be certified, absent any challenges that require further time to be resolved, on 17 February 2022.

THEREFORE, I, Kris Kringle, Election Commissioner, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Elections Act, do hereby certify on this day, 18 February 2022, that:
  • The candidates signaled as such in the list above have obtained a majority of votes after all votes have been counted and preferences have been properly distributed, and consequently have been duly elected by the voters of the South Pacific to the Cabinet to serve for a full regular term starting on this day, 18 February 2022.
