The Lile Ulie Islands for Minister of Culture

It seems a bit like unnecessary bureaucratic overhead, especially when you're already putting such an emphasis in your campaign about how you'll personally try to engage with new South Pacificans and make the ministry more inclusive.

I see the point you are coming from. Yes, we must make the Ministry more inclusive. That is very important to me. Making the Ministry more inclusive would be hiring a Director of OPE who is interested in the Ministry, and especially the public. I also changed up some stuff about OPE.

Hello there!

I'm a major forum RP'er and also an editor for all three RP canons on the supporting TSPedia. I was wondering about a few concerns that I share with my fellow RP'ers which we talked about over discord. As you campaign slogan suggests, you'd like to keep things as is. Though I'm afraid that might prove a problem for a growing rift between gameside and the RP community, specifically the RP that takes place on these forums in Treasure Island. Frankly, most RP'ers are RP forum isolationists, but fairly active on our TSPRP discord and few gamesiders or even other forum users dwell on ours. I think the rift happened with consecutive MoC's eroding their relations with the forum RP community and it hasn't been addressed properly, which I hope will change with the next MoC.

Contrary to your competitors, you have recently joined our forum RP community. While I understand these elections have taken a priority right now, I do question whether your intention to engage with the forum RP Community somewhat. As of yet, you haven't even posted anything about your campaign in the TSPRP Discord or asked what our concerns might be. Which I find a bit contradictory to your supporting message in your campaign.

However, it should also be said that the forum RP community needs more exposure and you wish to tackle that problem. A welcoming change to say the least! How exactly would you take on this ongoing problem that hasn't been solved for the past couple of years or so? And how do you wish to have it engage with other RP aspects of the larger TSP community.

On a side note, RP awards should definitely return. I confirmed with my colleagues that they were originally held by the MoC. However as relations eroded and we were seemingly forgotten (to the best of my knowledge), the RP community started to hold these awards themselves as can be seen in this Treasure Island Report. So how do you see the creation of said awards?

I don't believe my campaign slogan does that. I'm a little confused.

Either tonight or tomorrow, I am planning to go around and ask people about their priorities for the Ministry. Places including the RMB and TSPRP discord are on my list. Just you wait!

The TSPRP community definitely needs more exposure. I'm going to be not only active in the community, but also work with the community to see what TSPRPers want. I will also encourage those NS gameside TSPRPers to also work with the Ministry, and maybe come over to TSPForums or TSPRP discord to have some fun!

I am a staunch supporter of RP Awards (also RMB awards and things like that.) Some of the awards would be like "Best Treasure Island Roleplay," or "Best Aurora Roleplay," or even "Best Pacifica Roleplay." We can also get more specific. I'd also take public suggestions on RP awards "categories."

Hopes this answers your questions!

True, a slip up from my part. My bad. My apologies and I retract that statement in this case. Sorry for confusing you with some of the other candidates!

Sounds great. I'll be looking forward to it!

I think the forum RP community would gladly help with categorizing and even organizing such awards. Definitely promising.

The Lile Ulie Islands for Minister of Culture
for the people, by the people
real change

Official campaign announcement:

I'm unsure if that @anjo changed the regional flag, but whoever did so, kudos to you. The flag is logo of TSPRP, The South Pacific's Roleplay community. This is a community that is often isolated from the region and forgotten about. But, if you vote for LUI (myself) as Minister, I will work not only to enhance the community, but also work with its members, and be active in it.

Also, we would bring back the RP Awards (and other awards like RMB Awards and SWAN Awards), which are some enjoyable, competitive competitions (RP awards) for RP!

I ask everyone to head over to the Voting Booth (Voting Booth (tspforums.xyz)) and get out the vote!

It is important to take part in this democratic process, whether you vote for me or not!
