Milograd Parole Ruling
#41

Imo, Milograd was specifically in mind when the proposal was being drafted by the region. His name continuously came up and it is of no coincidence that he was promptly reinstated into TSP before, as the saying goes, the ink was dry on the legislation.

That was his trial, not the parole hearing.  We have no clue what happened in the hearing.

His full trial can be seen here: http://tsparchives.hierocles.me/showthread.php?tid=1392

While he may be a model citizen elsewhere, he royally F'd this region, and worst of all, the trust that we as a people had in him. His blatant disregard for The South Pacific and her laws goes to his character. What he did is in no way forgivable. Im all for giving most people a second chance, but the most heinous crimes could and should never be forgiven.

And to the point that his past isnt a required viewing point for the Board is the worst over-site I think the assembly has ever made. Apparently, the Assembly must over-legislate, just so there isnt a loophole. And the fact that there isnt some (legal) way to overturn the Boards decision is also a terrible over-site.

I think this law needs to be revised before something like this happens again...

Rebeltopia Wrote:Well done, Parole Board. The region's worst convicted felon just got a free pass after serving less than 20 months of his lifetime sentence.

Well, being granted parole tends to end such sentences, but that does not mean he was given a free pass. You said it yourself, he has served nearly 20 months. Does that not count for anything?

But we are being forced to deal with him when he does show up. And I will not stand to be forced to "play nice" with someone who disgraced this region that Ive spent the last 4 years making the best region in NS. And there are many, MANY more that have been here much longer than that who feel the same way.

The only thing that 20 months counts for is that hes 20 months into a LIFETIME sentence! Im sorry. TSPs justice system actually means something to me, and when a conviction is handed out, I assumed it would be fulfilled -- not just thrown out the window less then 2 years later cause 3 people decide it'll be a good idea.

Of course, and I hope this goes without mentioning, everyone will abide by forum rules if and when Milograd decides to show up. You may not like him, but he is a user just like anyone else, and deserves respect.

Milograd certainly does not deserve respect from this community.

I hope we are talking about different things, Southern Bellz. Milograd will be treated with respect, in accordance with the moderation policies of this forum. That is not a negotiable point.
