If you're offered advice and support, would you be willing to consider it even if you personally disagreed with the advice and were uncertain of the support?

Naturally. It might take a bit for me to come to terms with disagreeing items, but I would be accepting of it.

I've seen in many cases that people are deeply unwilling to compromise from their convictions when offered advice by others. Whether it is pride or whatnot. Pride has seen the downfall of many a good military. Would you be willing to put aside your pride if it meant the best for the SPSF?

Take the fall for them.
I am their leader, and the one to blame for deciding on a raid instead of a lib. In return, I had better not be met with cold remarks as well. 
You can't take on the feelings of everyone and expect hurt to go away. It's a noble thought, but the truth is that you will have to console them yourself. Every person in your military is an individual even as you strive to be a monolithic organization to the outside world. You'll have to treat them individually and understand that their hurt can't be taken on by you solely.
