JOLLY COOPERATION - Wolf for MoFA
#11

The region has, albeit currently defunct, SPINN. It also has the Southern Journal. Why does the MoFA need to engage in such duplication, when it could focus on actual diplomatic work?

I'm not sure why you are so passionate about the subject. If we have spare time, which I imagine we will, then the updates can be made.

If we find ourselves so busy that every minute dedicated to Foreign Affairs is spent negotiating, drafting, and proposing treaties and pacts, then yes, I will put an end to embassy updates. However, if we have the time, why not put them out?

My question is why push them out in the first place? Does MoFA really have to do that? Why not simply work in conjunction with MoRA and its already existing news programmes?

A very good suggestion.

Yes, I do believe that we can arrange to have the Ministry of Regional Affairs work with us on creating embassy updates, perhaps even using the staff of the newspaper, if it's not an unreasonable burden.

An excellent idea, Kringalia, thank you.

Why should I vote for you?

Do you see your involvement in raider gameplay being a roadblock to working with defender organizations? If so what would you do to overcome that roadblock?

What do you believe contributed to the downfall of the TSP-TNI relationship? What would you have done differently if you were MoFA at that time?

I support you, Wolf.

And Kris, why are you against updates so much? Our embassies are not there for decoration. They should be filled with updates, because that's what embassies do(Along with the symbolism of being allies). Plus, this could also benefit the SJ and MoRA if they work in coordination. They will both be active(Great idea, Kris!).

If we re-implement updates, then the MoFA won't look so inactive to the general public. I, as a citizen, see the MoFA most of the time inactive. I don't know what you do abroad, or what you discuss in the private office. I think the MoFA is sometimes even on break(for large periods of time, like the MoRA. But I still appreciate on what you tried to do, Kris Smile You are a great asset to our region. Never change that Happywide). We need to change that so the general populace won't say "Oh look, MoFA. Its very inactive". Instead, they will say "Oh look, MoFA. They are working hard".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one case where appearing to be active should not be the priority. Its job is to ensure our foreign policy is executed smoothly, through contact with allies and fellow regions. If all works well then the tangible effects of that work should be noticed through military or cultural cooperation. Writing monthly reports is not a good way of measuring how well the Foreign Ministry is doing.

Should the Foreign Ministry communicate its actions to the region? Absolutely. I tried to do that when I was Minister of Foreign Affairs and continued that practice as Minister of Regional Affairs (check the Ministry Reports for further reference). However, that is for the benefit of the citizenry. I think that is quite different from informing other regions of how we are doing, when the people who would actually read such news could already do it through foreign newspapers, or through our own Southern Journal. That is why I am opposed to updates.

1. Can you recap major recent issues in TSP FA policy?

2. Why should anyone vote for you when you don't have a history of service in TSP?

3. Based on the fact that you are a raider, how does that work with TSP's current alignment? What is TSP's current alignment according to you?

4. If you do not win this position, will you stay to assist the FA Minister or will you disappear?

5. What qualities or strength does you opponent in this election have that you would want to emulate?

Oh and continuing our conversation about the "Courageous Oven Alliance" of which you are a member, can you clarify the aims and goals of the political party here as well? Can you specify which members of government or which particular actions you see as problematic in recent events and how you plan to overcome them? More specifics below.

Based on your repeated comments about security risk declarations, should I assume that you intend to attempt to overturn the security risk declaration that the cabinet and majority of the Assembly voted for?

Here is the question I asked your fellow party member:

Can you explicitly state, what the party means by this statement:

"My greatest concern remains the current climate that has gripped TSP in recent weeks. We find ourselves in a period in which we are isolating ourselves from the outside, and looking upon members of foreign regions with paranoia and mistrust. While some of these fears may be justified we must not allow ourselves to close our region on fears of old, forgiven acts."

For example, would you overturn the cabinet's recent security risk declaration?

Where do you stand on the cabinet's security risk declaration?

Thank you.
