Legal Question - CoI for Evil Wolf
#51

May I remind everyone the only people should are allowed to talk here are the Justices, Wolf and Unibot. May I also remind the Court that is has roughly 5 hours and 28 mins left before Unibot can request that a new Chief Justice is appointed.

The Court is currently considering this matter and once we've got a quorum of opinions, a decision will be announced. Please do bear in mind we've had an unprecedented number of questions in a short space of time (or at least unprecedented in my time as a Justice anyway).

About the Chief Justice: Is he recusing himself from the decision? He is after all the founder of a political party which Evil Wolf also is a member of, plus he voted for Wolf; presumably Evil Wolf had the support of Courageous Oven Alliance.

Thank you, Justices, nonetheless.

If we are going to use the dangerous precedent of voting for someone as a CoI, then I will request that Hopolis and Aramachovia step down for a CoI from voting against Evil Wolf, as well as the release of any private MoFA votes by Awe to determine his CoI on this matter.

And I do not believe my organization to present a CoI. It is not a political party, merely an informal organization with no formal membership of those with similar interests.

Aram supported neither candidate actually. I do think it is a concern that you supported a candidate vocally - and built an 'informal organisation' with political goals that Evil Wolf supported during election time - and their candidacy is in jeopardy with this ruling, potentially.

I wouldn't consider this precedence, 'dangerous'. Seems more like common sense to me.

Ok, since we're going to be silly...

I request that the Court doesn't appoint any candidate that has voted for, or supported, Sandaoguo, as I believe their support for Glen during the election constitutes a "Conflict of Interests".

I would hope my request and Unibot's are rejected for the same reasons.

Questioning a right to vote in an election without being accused of such choice maligning their ability to make an informed and rational decision on a question of "Is this X or Y?" shows very little faith in your regionmates, Unibot. Or terrible bias. I'm not sure which.

The judges should be trusted to have their own minds on a question.
@MallRiva: Pants are like defenders: they stifle all the fun and no one actually wants them around at a party.

Yes, I changed my vote to RON mid vote. Still wish a lot of others had of as well, but we got what we got.

I agree. Following the argument that anyone who voted can't be impartial would eliminate the entire region.
