I disagree with Henn. The administration team, as is, comprises of the most trustworthy people in TSP. I see no reason to change that.

To prevent them from going mad with power and possibly trying to use their administrative powers for their own benefit.

Power can corrupt anyone, given enough time.

SB, I'm actually responding to the inflammatory and dramatic such as the above. This is also not the thread to discuss administration but we keep having people discussing it. Or perhaps you're having trouble seeing the dramatic and inflammatory that you agree with as it is apparent you do? Please feel free to PM me and I'll link you to some other inflammatory and dramatic posts that I've responded to very calmly.

I agree with Sopo in that regard. I understand the intent behind putting the URL in the Charter, but surely there are better ways of ensuring that no unauthorized forum move is made, especially when a change in URL does not necessarily involve a move?

It's not entirely unheard of. Yesterday I learned that Lazarus has their official flag coded into an official document. Can't remember which one though.

And we see just how good of an idea that was

Can the charter just state:
1. The Coalition's official Regional Forum is located at the web site posted on the WFE? The delegate, being the only one that can change it there would be the one to do it and wouldn't require charter chatter every
time we move.

There's a huge flaw in that QD. What if a delegate goes rogue or we get invaded? They change the link in the WFE to an alternate forum and it's legally recognized as the official forum of the region.

We could simply get rid of the provision. In practice, the official forums are whatever most people say they are. We created these forums and made them legal after the fact, iirc.

I think the issue here is that we should look at protecting the content of the forum, not the URL. So long as we have the same content, same registration, posts, threads, users, etc., does the URL really matter? Article 10 was meant to guarantee that we wouldn't just move to a whole new forum without consulting the community, but to prevent changes in the URL that don't necessarily involve a full forum move.

I have no issue with our current admin team. They have their political stances and had/have government positions, and yet they haven't got rouge. I thank them for that, and I thank them for being one of the best admin teams in TSP. So, Tsu, GR, Kris, thank you! I wouldn't change our admin team for another, even if they offered me a million dollars.

Also, we need to change hosts, or else, our forums will be unavailable.
