Prime Minister Gregory Gidenhiemer(LD) has come out to his supporters, stating that he is officially looking into removing the cap on Taxable Income. The original law regarding taxable income was passed shortly before he became Prime Minister in 2004, and had not gained any popular support for removal until recently. The Federalist Republican and Independent Conservative Candidates have all stated that they are against the Caps' removal, but, several of the Candidates from the Libertarian Socialists and the Liberal Democrats have come out for removing the Cap.

The Resentinian Government has entered negotiations to return land secured by the Resentinian Military over to the Principality of Slona. PM Gidenhiemer(LD) insists that the Land was only held to "protect Sporaltryan Citizens until a new government was organized and could protect the territory", however, many critics in the Federalist Republicans state that any surrendering of land should be held off until the Entirety of Sporaltryus is re-unified. Members of the Liberal Democrats counter-argued that waiting for that could potentially be a "Long Term Occupation", that neither the Resentinian Military nor the Sporaltryan Locals would want.
