Signy Island, in the South Orkney Islands, is off limits to development and tourism as Volaworand's National Penguin Preserve and home to the Signy Research Station.

Enviormental activists are calling on the government to extend protections to other penguin nesting sites and seal breeding area's which are only loosely protected with signage asking mining companies and tourists not to disturb the animals.

Prime Minister Barrett has announced today that she is planning a major refurbishment of the Prime Minister's office next year, possibly in late Winter, early Spring. She has also announced that around this time she wants to assess the President's situation and maybe talk to First Gentleman Davis to work out a Snap Presidential Election to be held for a new President, thus restoring the Office of Head of State to the Office of President.

The 4-day siege of the Assembly building is finally over, as the Special Forces managed to eliminate 2 more gunmen, and arrested the final member of the 6 men. The police have taken him for questioning and will be sentenced later on this week.

Reached out for a comment today, the Techanerean President condemned the explosion in Sereva and stated that it is an 'act of cowardice'. He sends his condolences, and will offer the people of Sereva aid in any way possible.

Mark Dixon has responded to a letter which he was sent by a teenager who was particularly upset by his retirement from Politics telling him that although he loved being Prime Minister he can't be the Prime Minister forever and he told the lad "it is now Joanna's Office and she'll do great things". Prime Minister Barrett announced today that other Party Leaders who got seats in Government in the last Election will have the opportunity to do work within the country within their Party's guidelines but all intentions must go through her first and, if serious enough, the First Gentleman also.

First Gentleman Davis and his son Harry have departed Alton City Private Airport in the President's private jet, heading to Ciria International Airport, Erinor, where they will attend the funeral of former Ura'sia Yena Yamera-Hyudo tomorrow.
