Due to the intensification of the Kalkara War, Ryccia has increased tariffs on Valkyrian goods to 10% for the Ryccian Kalkara War Civilian Aid Fund. The money collected from these tariffs, plus a voluntary addition by the Ryccian Government and sympathetic Ryccians who have donated, is being given to the families of the civilians who have thus far lost their loved ones in the war, as well as to charities that are aiding civilians in a humanitarian capacity. Further, Ryccia has called for a ceasefire between Hystagia and Valkyria.

Point Rain Armories has expedited its shipments of weapons to the Hystaigan Army and has upgraded the delivery vessel to a PR-897 (RL equivalent: AN-225) capable of 250,000kg of arms at no extra cost to Hystaiga. When asked about the Corporation's decision a spokewomen said, "We cater to our clients needs, not their wants, and a PR-350 (RL equivalent: MD-11) lacks the necessary space to supply them with the arms they need to defend themselves."

The DRHG has applied a 50% import and export tax on incoming and outgoing Valkyrian goods, with Hystaiga getting hit with a 25% tax. These are to pressure both nations to back off, calling for proper diplomacy to take place. The HG Volunteer Corps have headed out to help the victims of the Kalkara War

Carta-Agot has sent a shipment of 25k CA-17 Submachine Guns (Upgraded Tommy Gun), 250 medium range artillery (50 shells per unit), and 75 CAA JF-10 jet fighters (equivalent to 60s/70s MiG) to Hystaiga at no cost. They will pledge to intervene if Valkyria does not back down. They also instituted the 50% tax on Valkyria.

President Jenny Davis was shot dead this evening. Chancellor Kelly Butler, in the absence of a Vice-President, has briefly resumed status as Head of State. An investigation into the shooting is to be launched immediately and a snap Presidential Election will be held tomorrow, hurriedly, to elect her successor.

Prime Minister Barrett has signed the Book of Condolence for the President's death. She has said that the future of the country tonight lies with the Chancellor, Kelly Butler, who is "staying up all night" to organise tomorrow's election in such a way that will make it at least decent. Ms. Butler is temporarily the Head of State in the absence of both a President and Vice-President. The Prime Minister has said she has full confidence in Chancellor Butler that she can run a successful election tomorrow and elect a suitable replacement although she has admitted given the time of year it will be a struggle.

Chancellor Butler has said that her priority tonight is to gather candidates' names, publish them, and get polling stations ready for a 7AM start tomorrow to voting. She also said she really hopes the successful candidate will call a snap Presidential Election soon and in plenty of time to make sure that the elected President is the one the public want elected and have time to research and hence vote for.

Chancellor Butler has revealed that the candidates for tomorrow's snap Presidential Election are Gabriel Edwards, Manuel Ortega, Mary Mason, Alice Summers, Alberta Hayes, Christopher Elliott, Inez Clark, Rodolfo Steele, Ruth Holmes, Tonya Kim and herself, Kelly Butler.
