Space Minister and former lunar astronaut Anastasia Glacé to return to space as part of the first CosmosLaunch manned mission. The first Izaakian crewed space flight since the lunar missions in 1979. She will be joined by Special Space Service pilots Commander Isenbard Gordon, and Lieutenant Henry Shackleton, Payload specialists Hilary Herbert and Tenzing Yeung, Botanist Charles Banks, and Doctor Josephine Lister. The launch is expected to depart from IAF Cape Montacia on the 20th of May 2022.

Botanists and Gardeners seen entering the Black Hole of Montacia ahead of the arrival of DFN prisoners. Nobody was officially available to comment, however, a Gardener who was ambushed whilst tucking into his Cheese and Pickle sandwich at lunch said they were making an oxygen farm.

Journalists embedded with the Imperial frost military have reported the creation of a demilitarized zone extending 50km into Spiras from the Reizen-Spiras border. The journalists have also reported that the empire appears to be building processing centers to move civilians away from the conflict zone.

The Izaakian Space Agency reveal that they are taking control of the DFN prisoners of war. A vast cavern in the Black Hole of Montacia has been equipped with extra-terrestrial colony lander replicas, and the prisoners are expected to build the replica colony from the landers which will vastly improve their situation, and then live there until the end of the war. The project is designed to assess the feasibility of extra-terrestrial colonisation and to examine how confinement with 300 other people affects a persons psychology.

The Frost Empire has firmly condemned the Izaakian government for its decision to use prisoners of war in an unethical experiment to determine the feasibility of extraterrestrial colonization. The Imperial Frost Aeronautics and Space Administration has added that the Izaakian decision was a disgrace to Humanity's common goal to reach the heavens.

Eggraria officially condemns the Izaakian government's unethical behavior towards both the operation of a "dubiously ethical prison system" and a "certainly unethical practice towards prisoners of war". The condemnation comes as a bolstering of anti-USI sentiment in Eggraria.

The Ryccian Foreign Ministry has condemned Izaakia's "bizarre" and "slave-esque" use of prisoners of war. "The Izaakian authorities know no bounds. They are intent on destroying every single norm of decency in this world. We firmly and resolutely condemn this flagrant use of psychological torture on prisoners of war".

The Izaakian Space Agency has described the DFN prisoner space colonisation experiment as more humane than any other forms of imprisonment which members of a terrorist organisation would receive in Izaakia, or in any other country.

The Eggrarian Foreign Affairs Office has responded to Izaakia's claim, stating that "no sane nation would deprive their prisoners with such blatantly assumed needs such as sunlight and surface oxygen", and that the Eggrarian prison system does not rely on "using experimentation under threat of torture or subhuman conditions, a reality of the Izaakian system".

The United States of Izaakia loosens it’s immigration policy, dropping quotas and the points system, allowing immigration for anybody with a job offer for a term of more than 18 months, so long as they don’t have a history of serious criminal offences.
