Removal of the speaker requires a majority in both Houses of Parliament.

Dina Greig has been elected Leader of the Opposition as her Party have gained the second highest number of Seats in Parliament. Until now, Guzman has served as Leader of the Opposition. Guzman has, also, served as Prime Minister twice in the past when filling in for former Prime Minister McGowan when he became ill in 2020 and 2021. Guzman took over as Party Leader in the June 2021 General Election.
Amberholde: Prime Minister Floyd has visited Golden Glow Estate, the President's home, to offer her resignation.
