2016 in America
#381

Aussies are not ruled by Yuropeans, Aussies are(largely) descendants of them, and perfectly rule over themselves as a sovereign people. Sure, how they got there was bloody horrible, but Aussies are now a thing. And Aussies are not Yuropeans. Just like Argentina is not Yuropean.

I hate Sanders now. He is hypocritical, rude you can predict every word that is going to come out his month and he has one talking point. That's it. All he talks about is "a corrupt campaign system and wall street" that does not fix the problems America and the world are facing. How does that grow the US economy, defeat ISIS, prevent more mass shootings, fight climate change, deal with foreign affairs it doesn't end of story.

Maybe it's because a focus on one topic allows him the ability to be individually able to fix it? It's a strategy of his. People are hating establishment picks right now, and his strategy of picking apart corruption in the government is getting him votes. He's smart for knowing this.

Also, please provide evidence of his being hypocritical and rude. There had better be multiple points of evidence for this.

Hypocritical would be taking money from Wall Street and saying that you were going to stop them from causing another Economic Crisis. Hypocritical would be promising to not let America get involved in any more unneccesary wars, while having gotten us involved in Iraq for 10 years. Hypocritical is not saying "Excuse me" when being interrupted. You can call it Hypocritical and sexist, but, I can assure you, he would've done the same for Trump, or Cruz, or anyone else in the race. He let Hillary talk, and she regularly went overtime. He deserves the same respect the he gave her.

As for arguing he's a "one issue candidate" maybe you should research his policies instead of shouting out baseless accusations.(which can be found here: https://berniesanders.com/issues/). He has long been an advocate of good, liberal policies like cleaning up the Enviroment, equal rights for all, and anti-interventionist policies. He may have a focus, but, he is far from A one issue candidate. If you did research on him, you'd know this.

1. If you looked at the economic theory that Bernie subscribes to(Keynesian Economics, for those of you that don't know) you would know who's used it and how it effected our economy. Keynesian economics is all about having a support system prepared for our workers so when they lose their jobs, they have something to fall back on while they search for a new one. This works in the rest of the world, and it worked in the US from 1933 to the 70's, until when corporations started advocating for a larger say in government. It worked under FDR, Truman and Eisenhower. There is no logical reason it won't work again.

2. Getting Wall Street out of politics is probably one of the best ways to fix our government, because each time the rich had a massive say in how we run government, massive economic crises occurred. The 1929, the 1980's, 2008; each time the Super rich had a massive say in government, the deregulated industry and proceeded to destroy the economy. That's why he campaigns so hard for it, because he knows the history books, and if we don't, it will happen again, and again, and again until we learn our lesson.

3. ISIS is already being defeated. They've been losing ground in Iraq for months now, and the recent truce in Syria should give the Rebels and the Russians the chance to focus fire on ISIS there. You don't hear about that in the news media? Well, try looking it up. We keep touting how Daesh is this massive threat when in reality, they aren't. The Coalition forces(an idea that Bernie supports, mind you) are working. ISIS is being defeated. It is a non-issue.

4. The Wall Street Corporations include the big oil companies(BP, Exxon, etc) the same companies who have known about Climate change for decades! These are also many of the same companies who provide funding for politicians who advocate that Climate change is a myth, or promote otherwise meaningless "Pro Enviroment" bills that due nothing. Bernie's plans, if you actually cared about what they were instead of arguing that he's a "one issue candidate". His environmental plans involve getting us off fossil fuels, finding effective alternatives(like electric or nitrogen powered vehicles) and creating a focus on better public transportation, that would prevent more gas vehicles from getting on the road, and make PT a viable alternative to driving.

6. As for dealing with Foriegn Affairs, Bernie believes in America no longer being the world's police. We need to work with nations(much like NS RP, for example) through groups like NATO and the UN to properly deal with rogue nations like North Korea(which Bernie thinks is the biggest threat to the US, espeicially if the actually have the A-Bomb) or to help nations like Syria and Libya to get back on their feet and become established democracies. It is important to work with other nations, so we can stop being the "World's police". We are not that, and we cannot afford to continue thinking we are that. Our military spends more than the next 8 combined.(almost $700 billion) It is unnecessary, if not ridiculous, to spend that much. We need to change that.

So, Bernie is not a one issue candidate. In fact he is far from it. All it requires to see that is some rather easy research to find out. Try it the next time you decide to make baseless accusations. It will prove quite enlightening.

Sorry Henn, but North Korea just can't be the same color as China! Rouge is the only color they can be! Tounge

Oh I am looking forward to tomorrow so I can write a full reply. Then you can see the real Bernie Sanders. Oh and for your information I did read his policies on his website several months ago when I supported him, I soon saw sense however.

I mean, I don't mind being proven wrong, but that's the thing, I'd like to be "proven". Could you provide some sources and arguments, just like Res did, so we can examine them like we did Res'?
