I don't know about others, but I'm a bit tired of the whole war/regional crisis roleplays.

A PMT Space City prospect.

A space city is not easy to build, requiring many components and many LEO (Low Earth Orbit) transfers. They are also very expensive and require extensive ground-based (and sea-based) services and facilities. Some nations may specialize in certain components. Others might be better located geographically for launches, tracking, telecommunications, or re-entry recovery.

There are also many character-based roleplay opportunities. These can range from on-orbit astronauts, construction workers, scientists, residents and managers, to ground-based engineers, financiers, contractors, administrators and politicians.

The RP could be open-ended and enduring. Players could come and go. And no one need get hurt, canon-wise.

Why don't you make a thread?

I was simply answering Darkstraight's question by expounding on what I thought ProfessorHenn meant.

I would participate in such a thread for the sake of being polite, but PMT and space are not my thing. If I were to expend the effort, it would be for either:

(1). A past tech pirate chase in the age of sail, or...

(2). A modern day zoological conference to set up species survival plans, in field research and preservation, standards of care in zoological gardens, an animal trading bulletin board for zoos, and the like.

But I'm clever enough to realize what I like personally may not appeal to the denizens of my own region in Equinox, or here in The South Pacific.

And if I understand the original post, the purpose of this thread is to generate a role play involving The South Pacific and other regions. If so, setting up a thread seen only in The South Pacific would seem counterproductive. I would think you would want a more limited version of something like The Nautical Pacific, but consulting with the partnering region(s) prior to the launch of the event.

Mr(Ms) Alunya,

Would Equinox be open to an RP Festival?

Meow, ProfessorHenn!!

First, Ms. Alunya would be my real life cat -- the NationStates nation (and its puppets/derivatives) are named after her. Her cat guardian (really, her slave) is male (and human). I'm not fussy about the gender thing, so go with whatever makes you comfortable.

Second, I'll need to check with Equinox on the role play festival idea. We're in the midst of a change of Delegates, so it may be a bit before I have a definitive answer for you. And if in the affirmative, I would suggest that all parties take the time to plan it right, perhaps to coincide with the annual bump from early fall school/university enrollments.

There would still be the matter of what (or which) story lines would make for a good festival. Any other ideas?!!

What should I refer to you as, then?
