Did I just start a war over the words "soccer" and "football", since rioting generally has led to war.

Honestly, that would be fun to RP out just put of sheer curiosity. Even the Koreans have gone to war over a better international reason.

Gee, respect how someone says things. If America says soccer, then they should say soccer.

When I think of the word "football" though, it makes me think of 'Murican Football.

People should respect regional grammar, not discourage it. The people who use those words their way arranged it like that. Or are we going to declare that International English is the only English and other variations should go to hell?

And hell, us spanish-speakers have lots of variations of grammar. And I mean a LOT.

I have deleted all the OOC posts in Flash News. The thread clearly says IC. It is meant for nations to post 2-line news, not to post longer news or to engage in roleplays, . If an interesting story develops, then start a new thread in Bantam or Shipwreck.

When i hear the word football i think of actual football not american football. I dont get what soccer is suppose to mean. I mean you dont use your feet in american football, why the hell is it called that? They should call it leather ball or something.

When i hear the word football i think of actual football not american football. I dont get what soccer is suppose to mean. I mean you dont use your feet in american football, why the hell is it called that? They should call it leather ball or something. 

You actually do use your feet, just very rarely when your kicking the ball. You also run with it... but that's about it.

Football is clearly the better word to describe football, that other sport can go call itself soccer.

On the other hand, I don't get what's fun about soccer. Its so boring. I just watched the FIFA to see flags(I literally cheered for Germany, the Netherlands, the US and Croatia, despite knowing nothing at all).
