Councilor Kathryn O'Connor announced this morning that phase two of Thompson Drive - Rebeltopia's Embassy row - will start construction.

"I've decided that its better to have and not need, then need and not have," O'Connor proclaimed from the podium at the offices of the Council of the Exterior. "That's why we're pushing for the start of phase two as soon as possible. We're already half full, and most of our larger buildings are occupied. We need to allow our existing embassies room to grow, and right now, there is no room for them to grow."

Dubbed "Thompson Circle", the fourteen new embassy buildings will more than double the amount of embassy buildings in Thompson Drive. Also, the addition of a main consulate building staffed with more than 75 members of the Councilor of the Exterior's office will make visits to Warner's Government District less frequent for diplomats. "Rather than having the diplomats come to us, we can go to them. This will allow for much better face to face communication without making our diplomats sit in Warner's terrible traffic."

Construction is set to begin Monday, and is scheduled to be completed before the second quarter of 2020.
