III South Pacific Regional Games
#1

Recently I have been discussing with ProfessonHenn the posibility of making a new edition of the Regional Games later this month. I really like this event and see it as an opportunity to include friend regions and involve our growing gameside community. This is a transcript from the recent discussion I had with Henn:

Code:
21:24 Kringle: We also need to work on this month's Regional Games.
21:25 ProfessorHenn: A collective groan amongst the Sporaltryan Legislature has literally passed.
21:25 Kringle: ?
21:25 ProfessorHenn: I'm just groaning.
21:25 ProfessorHenn: I say we do a totally new style.
21:25 Kringle: :P
21:25 Kringle: I'm listening
21:25 ProfessorHenn: Last one wasn't popular at all
21:25 ProfessorHenn: Possibly because of the recent games we already had
21:26 ProfessorHenn: And possibly because we were predictable.
21:26 ProfessorHenn: Now, I do have ADHD, and staying still is not something I tend to enjoy.
21:27 Kringle: I assume you have an idea?
21:27 ProfessorHenn: We start off with a trivia quiz, regarding random regions we hint at
21:27 Kringle: *nods*
21:27 ProfessorHenn: Then we move to a flag guessing contest amongst the regions
21:27 ProfessorHenn: Where we describe a flag in three details
21:27 ProfessorHenn: Each one increasing, but giving lower points.
21:28 ProfessorHenn: Do this for a bit
21:28 ProfessorHenn: Then we move onto a small one of your choosing Kris.
21:29 ProfessorHenn: Closing ceremony, we announce all participant nations that qualify may partake in the Nation Ejection Contest we hold in that region.
21:30 Kringle: Mmm
21:30 Kringle: You lost me
21:30 ProfessorHenn: What part?
21:30 ProfessorHenn: "We start off with"?
21:30 Kringle: Yeah, pretty much
21:31 ProfessorHenn: Outstanding
21:31 ProfessorHenn: At least my guessing game is good.
21:31 Kringle: :P
21:31 ProfessorHenn: what do I need to explain?
21:32 Kringle: First, how many games?
21:32 ProfessorHenn: 3.
21:32 ProfessorHenn: Trivia.
21:32 Kringle: First one?
21:32 ProfessorHenn: Trivia.
21:32 Kringle: Details?
21:33 ProfessorHenn: We take a bit of info off of a region's info page and make it into a question.
21:33 ProfessorHenn: Any region. We can do random ones, or participant's regions.
21:33 Kringle: Second challenge
21:33 ProfessorHenn: Game side only. Fair chance for most.
21:34 ProfessorHenn: Scavenger.
21:34 ProfessorHenn: But with flags.
21:34 ProfessorHenn: We find a few regional flags, probably small UCRs, make three clues for them.
21:35 Kringle: How would it work?
21:35 ProfessorHenn: Teams pick how many clues they might need for the flag.
21:35 ProfessorHenn: The last place at the time goes first.
21:35 ProfessorHenn: More clues, less points.
21:36 ProfessorHenn: An yes, this one will be using points to track score.
21:36 Kringle: *nods*
21:36 Kringle: Third challenge
21:36 ProfessorHenn: So try to pick a point based game for the third one.
21:36 ProfessorHenn: This one is yours.
21:36 ProfessorHenn: Unless you want me to think of something.
21:37 Sam111: I can try to help you guys with this later
21:37 Kringle: Please. :)
21:37 ProfessorHenn: ^
21:37 ProfessorHenn: The execution of this is not my forte.
21:37 Sam111: Now, I'm in maths and I can't really do it, and tonight I'm out at my thing and partying afterwards
21:37 Sam111: But maybe in between or tomorrow
21:38 ProfessorHenn: Kringle, we can do a music lyric contest to break ties.
21:38 Sam111: Is that writing your own song?
21:39 ProfessorHenn: Or we could do a CAH game, with the amount of points being measured in amounts of how many cards go to a team.
21:39 ProfessorHenn: Yes.
21:40 Sam111: If nothing else, I can help judge some of these things

I would appreciate some input and comments on this. We are already with the Top 5 on the Ejection Contest, so I want to announce the Regional Games shortly after we finish the contest.

Come on people, we can plan this thing!
