Great Council Extension? |
I also second this.
Call me toast.
New dates now in effect
To ensure clarity: Proposal submissions officially close tonight. Three days are alloted for final discussion, and votes will go up sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
If we want exact times, let's go with EST since that's mine.
I have to say, I disagree greatly with this. It's fairly obvious that those of us working on proposals need more time. Just because you don't personally find the Great Council interesting at this moment doesn't mean it needs to end. If you don't want to participate, then don't participate. But those of us who are actually working on proposals have lives and jobs, and we cannot work at a cheetah's pace to churn out proposals. There is nothing wrong with an open-ended Great Council. It's not disrupting anything, and prematurely ending it serves no purpose.
I once again move my proposal, which was accepted before: Quote:Given the interest there is in the Prime Minister debate and the Regional Officers development, I'm proposing an indefinite extension, which will last until somebody motions for the end of proposal submissions and that motion receives two seconds.
I'll second.
It's the fact this has been going on for almost a month now and posting has been very slow. Even a week ago when the indefinite extension was proposed I did not believe the discussion would last long enough to warrant an extension.
As I understand it, the deadline was only for new proposals, not everything, which meant that you would've had three days to finalise anything that has already been proposed. Is this correct?
Yes it is. Glen this council has gone on long enough and we have an election coming up. The council needs to end before the election begins.
