A hunt for Faulkner
#1

Distinguished delegates, your excellency chair

Our UF counterparts have been pleading to us that SCO member nations aid Qvait in finding Isaac Faulkner. A terrorist well dominated the front pages. It has come to our attention that several SCO member states have been aiding Qvait. Therefore, Hammerstar asks the possibility of SCO member states to aid the manhunt on behalf of the SCO.

Basically, should we help them?

It is the belief of the Republic of Kringalia that the defeat of terrorist groups should come first and foremost due to sensitive intelligence work and targeted law enforcement actions. While we understand the challenges that Qvait faces, we fail to understand what the formation of an international coalition of undefined powers and duties will cause that could not be accomplished by bilateral contact between intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

Farengeto seconds the comments of the Kringalian delegation.

We cannot back this vaguely defined "coalition". This is the a matter of intelligence services and the Qvait government, not something that requires an international military force to be deployed on Qvait soil. Especially something so undefined.

Resentine, though involved, believes it is unnecessary to get more countries involved and increase the threat to their citizens. Kringalia, with it's current terrorist threat, and Farengeto, with it's upcoming elections, have enough on their plates already, not to mention other members of the SCO. It would be both unnecessary and dangerous to get the rest of the SCO involved.

Though we have joined the manhunt on behalf of the UF, we have agreed with all the things stated by our SCO counterparts. Moreover, looking at the reasoning Qvait has given to us, we fail to see a motive for Faulkner to attack neighbouring nations. Qvait's arguments are also backed with pure conjecture and assumptions, exaggerating the problem that already existed.

Hammerstar is a nation of compassion and kindness, but we believe that the help this "coalition" has received is sufficient enough to find that man. Like an event with the Karnetvorian war-criminal many months ago.
