Do you mind giving a bit more information on how you plan on developing Real Time further?

Happily!

It is safe to say that Real Time, in it's traditional format, has long since died. The first target I'd like to approach in developing it is bringing it back, full stop. That means gathering a group of individuals who want to be involved and committing to a format. It also means creating provisions for changing rosters, either by design or inevitability.

Secondly, I'd like to look at why it died out. What aspect of it's format was unsustainable? Is it the frequency? The topics covered? A combination? The individuals involved? Public reception?
Whatever it is, I'd like to where necessary work on a dynamically changing format to accommodate a more sustainable end-product.

Finally, OverTime. I would like OverTime to become an integral portion of RealTime. This could occur in a number of ways - this could be a larger wrap-up piece that covers multiple issues of RT, a podcast equivelant to RT, or a single body presenting each issue of RT summarised in podcast form. The logistics of this are far from set in stone, as OverTime has only had a single pilot issue and one member of the crew (the host) is no longer a citizen here or an active member of TSP, so it already requires a new format.

I know I am rather vague on this topic, but one must understand that the nature of RT is that it is not something involving a single person - it involves a panel, and a new outlook, something that has to be developed in conjunction with a panel to ensure sustainability and attraction. There's no point in having a segment no one cares for, so it's a complex matter that requires testing the waters and a strong team.

If you want me to go into more detail, feel free to ask more specific questions on these topics (or things you feel I may have missed) :)

I do know that Real Time was one of my favorite reads as it gave less time for politicking and you gained more of an honest answer. So I am glad to hear you're planning on bringing it back.
Do you have any plans regarding a set schedule for RT or will you be running it for significant events only?

Since I was the one who managed Real Time, I would like to give some clarification as to why it was discontinued. I really enjoyed the show and it was a great chance for us to have a full debate on different issues. However, the problem was the amount of work that went into (a) finding people who might be good at panel discussions and (b) agreeing on a date and time when they would all be available. If there was some way of making those two more workable, I think Real Time should definitely be revived. I would be happy to help implement it, regardless of who is elected Minister.
