Of course, this isn't cow boys and Indians, this is one sovereign state occupying the lands of another and annexing it. There should be tensions over annexed land. And while Not as overpopulated as Sporaltryus, Frost is a powerful state that until recently was severely isolationist relying on a powerful military and defense force to keep outsiders from invading.

(Sorry for the double post)

It may not be necessary to annex the entire plot as the key defensive areas would be limited to coastal or river regions. The interior would be difficult to maintain as a naval power

It would be necessary. Every faction is essentially North Korea and South Korea with each other: they see themselves and themselves only as the rightful owners of the entire Sporaltryan nation.

So in order to hold the coast and mouth of the river I'd be in a perpetual state of war with the entire Sporaltryan people instead of individual cliques?

Would it not be possible for Frost to roleplay as one of the factions who begins taking control of all the others, after making a deal with and receiving secret help from Frozen? Surely there is one faction that has the largest amount of territory, or the best organisation and access to technology?

With this logic, my Republic of Costa idea is not a far-fetched idea.

At that point, there'd be more emphasis on the faction as opposed to their nation, and I also am very adverse to having my people being colonized.

This is quite the conundrum... I understand your aversion to having your people colonized by a foreign power considering the amount of time and effort that went into Sporaltryus, but I am not asking to colonize the entire plot, just the coast and river mouth. This will keep Sporaltryus partially independent (de facto independent) but dejurre in Frost custody. Furthermore it won't retcon the events that happened prior to Frost's colonization/invasion of the coast and river delta.

Well, Henn is kind of reclaiming the Wasteland soooo. Err. Awkward.

Thats fine then, I was trying to help keep the canon of the TSP by experimenting on an Imperialist scenario between Frost and Wasteland. If Cath is not going to abandon the Wasteland then that'll free my colonial spot.
