Osiris
#121

So right now there seems to be 3 dominant choices.
1) Do nothing and stay neutral/wait till it gets better or worse.
2) Pull out embassy/sever ties with the region
3) Simply issue a statement with (outdated) information (and alter? the statement if new information becomes available).

Here are the Pros/Cons I have thought of with each (correct me if i'm wrong).
1) Pros- We stay neutral, We don't get involved in domestic affairs of other regions
Cons- We could lose influence for not helping in anyway possible, The world wouldn't know where we stand, and in the event that the crisis worsened: we would lose valuable time.
2) Pros- World knows where we stand, we could gain influence for standing up to a coup.
Cons- Osiris would now be viewed as an enemy of ours and we would be viewed as their enemy.
3) Pros- The world would know where we stand, we did something on the matter, we keep our embassy
Cons- We would potentially be using days old information.

Which route seems best to all of you?

I'm pretty sure we're already viewed as an enemy.

Is this just because Cormac is dislike or because you're making an assumption?
I am Zadiner/Zak. Part of Assembly, some other stuff, Founder of some other region.
Hey, I have a bunch of issues. You don't need to care.

I presume he's basing it on our previous relations. Or the fact Cormac can still read this and can see the region itself is mainly opposed to him?

  • We haven't been allies since the birth of the OFO.
  • The last time Cormac was in power, he cut ties with us.
  • We don't have a MoFA interested in relations with Osiris.
  • Cormac doesn't like me, and is petty enough to burn relations based on that.
  • ???
  • Profit
TSP and Osiris haven't been friends in a very long time. Hileville briefly attempted to mend relations, but that was something probably unique to him.

Also, Cormac's Cabinet contains two Empire members, a group we legally consider to be hostile in TSP.

And one which has never actually attempted any plot against TSP.

The Empire's banning was pushed, and pushed hard, by Unibot and others during the post-Toaster period of paranoia. Near hysterical levels of stupidity shouldn't be used as a justification to start a Cold War with Osiris over trivial matters, such as "HERP DERP! EMPIRE!"

And upheld just recently, because we know better [emoji1360]

You mean the vote in which only nine people participated in, one of the lowest vote counts in years, and that you yourself voted against?

But I guess The Empire is only a scary, scary threat when you need it to be, am I right, Glen?

The involvement of "Empire members" is purely a red-herring. I'm personally not in favor of having to actively find excuses in order to ostracize one of our fellow GCRs. Our reasoning either stands on its own merit or it doesn't. So we don't like how they operate? Great. Are we going to write a personal letter to every region every time they do something we don't agree with?

I'm not seeing the need.

Your all aware that after all he's been accused of, including leaking info from the private assembly to Osiris, of all places, his relationship to Emipre, and the fact I think but not sure, he recently either resigned his citizenship or was kicked out, He still maintains the citizenship flag in the forums here....
