Coalition Day Festival
#11

I'm willing to let the festival go ahead even though I said I didn't want a festival. However in the future I want myself and tsu to be told about it even before planning.

With all due respect, I don't work here to be threatened with removal every time I organise something the Minister does not personally agree with. Festivals have always been uncontroversial activities, perhaps one of the most uncontroversial activities we could do: they generate activity, let people have fun and offer a chance to have contact with our allies.

In the three years since I joined this Ministry, this is the first time I've seen this. Should I tell the entire staff how you threatened to fire Roavin and me for having organised this festival? Because we all know that's the truth: he and I single-handedly organised it, because you inexplicably insist on not holding any festivals, and can get quite aggressive about it. Why? I can't even begin to imagine. If that's the attitude from here on, that we can't be proactive and come to you with exciting activities, even do all the work for you, then I think we can all just resign and let you do the activities that you want to do.

That is not the Ministry I joined, and I think the same applies to everyone else in the staff. We all joined because we wanted to help make the region active, whichever way we could. If that's not your goal, after all, then I think we should all know right now, to know what we are getting into.

Posts outside High Court venues should be taken as those of any other legislator.
I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.

Considering some of the other options I saw your Minister suggest I don't blame him.

Kris the problem I have is that I explicitly said I don't want to have a festival this term, and you guys did completely go against what I said. Lets be honest I've been one of the least controlling Minister's we've had. I don't mind the fact that Roavin is in charge of the SJ, or that you created the list of jobs for everyone instead of me, or the fact that the FP members do their own thing. The Ministry would be an awful place if everything went through me as I couldn't do it so I love the fact that the Ministry does it's own thing.

However the Deputies of the Minister are meant to help him not go against what he said, that is the only issue I had. I didn't want a festival as they are used far too often and they are mainly used to get elected or re-elected and I didn't want to be that Minister especially seeing as the Ministry is only just starting to get back up and running again.

Now finally don't lie. I never once threaten to fire either of you, I said "I should really say no and fire the both of you however I'll consider it. " I have never and will never so long as I'm Minister even consider firing you two. If I wanted to end the Ministry's activity I would however I don't.

As I have said go ahead with the festival you guys have done all the planning for it and most likely people will want a festival however in the future please just make it public. That way it becomes the Ministry's project and not just a few people's project.

Changes to OP:
- Add Ryccia and Sam111 as contributors for Trivia
- Add Phase 3 Table
- Add Kris as (prospective?) interviewer for Tsu.

I'm finishing up the old-timer list right now, and in parallel I'm investigating good ways to get in touch with said old-timers.
